Recently, ASUS announced the availability of its 10.1-inch Eee PC 1011PX and Eee PC 1015PX in the UK through Amazon UK and PC World. 

Both netbooks have a 10.1-inch (1024×600) LED backlit screen, which displays crisp and vivid graphics in a portable form factor. The machines are coming in a stylish seashell design that’s easily distinguishable with a unique wave pattern texture (Eee PC 1011PX – Texture: Black, White) or in various matte or glossy colors (Eee PC 1015PX – Matte: Black, Blue, Red, White and Glossy: Black, Red, and White).

Featuring the all-new Intel Atom N570 dual core CPU, the netbooks offer performance comparable to a notebook, allowing for seamless video playback as well as multitasking of several applications running at the same time with no delay. In addition, 1GB DDR3 RAM, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, Hi-Def Audio, 0.3MP webcam and a choice of HDD up to 320GB (1011PX) and up to 500GB (1015PX). Also, 3x USB 2.0 ports, RJ-45 and a card reader supporting SD, SDHC and MMC media formats. Both netbooks are loaded and set to dual-boot Express Gate (Asus’s light Linux-based OS) and Windows 7 Starter.

The Eee PC 1011PX and Eee PC 1015PX get the job done, all-day long with ASUS-exclusive Super Hybrid Engine (SHE) technology. SHE intelligently helps optimize the system, to give you max power when you need it, and max battery when you don’t. The netbooks can handle up to 11 hours between recharges to remain productive on the go.

The ASUS Eee PC 1011PX and Eee PC 1015PX are selling at amazon.co.uk and pcworld.co.uk, starting from £229.99 GBP (approx. $379 USD). The netbooks are also available in some other setups and configurations.
