Qualcomm collaborated with Microsoft and Adobe to bring Windows 8 and Flash on Snapdragon powered devices.

“Snapdragon Processor Enables Flash Player on Windows 8 - A Qualcomm, Microsoft & Adobe Collaboration - Through its collaboration with Microsoft, Qualcomm is proud to show the Windows 8 Developer Preview running on the latest dual-core Snapdragon processor. Shown running on the desktop, Internet Explorer in the Windows 8 Developer Preview features support for the latest web standards as well as the Adobe Flash Player, giving consumers a rich browser experience and developers support for whatever tools that best suit their needs. Flash is an important part of the web browsing experience - and Qualcomm supports the Flash Player today on our dual core Snapdragon processor running Windows 8.”

Watch the official video uploaded by Qualcomm, where a dual core Snapdragon processor is running (the recently released by Microsoft) Windows 8 Developer Preview, as well as Adobe Flash Player on a Qualcomm Prototype tablet. The SoC is capable of playing HD content at a resolution of 720p or 1080p (depending on the Snapdragon – S2, S3, S4). We will be seeing probably even netbooks from the company which was powering Toshiba Portage G500 and other smartphones in the past.
