ViewSonic’s ViewPad 10pro tablet is now verified as Citrix Ready (trusted to enhance Citrix networking and virtualization solutions).

The dual OS ViewPad 10pro offers business users true Windows and Android experience. ViewSonic announced its 10.1-inch Windows and Google Android tablet, that has been verified as Citrix Ready.

The Citrix Ready program helps customers identify third-party solutions that are recommended to enhance virtualization, networking and cloud computing solutions from Citrix Systems, Inc. Also, it lets users to identify complementary products that can enhance Citrix environments and ensures Citrix Receiver compatibility. Through this partnership, ViewSonic’s customers can now access cloud-hosted virtual desktops and applications on their ViewPad 10pro tablet.

The ViewSonic’s ViewPad 10pro is powered by an Intel 1.5GHz Atom (Z670) power efficient processor, designed specifically for tablets. The Windows 7 OS allows business users to access office applications and documents on a high-performance mobile device. Also, Android 2.3 runs on top of the Windows 7, offering a seamless switch between business productivity and entertainment.

The ViewPad comes with a 10.1-inch (1024×600) capacitive multi-touch display, 1.3MP webcam, Full HD (1080p) support, HDMI, 2GB memory and up to 8 hours of battery life.

The Citrix Ready ViewPad 10pro is currently available in two configurations – with a 32GB SSD and Windows 7 Professional/ Android 2.3 for an ESP of $699 USD and with a 16GB SSD with Windows 7 Home Premium/ Android 2.3 for an ESP of $599 USD.
