ASUS announces its Spring 2012 notebooks models for Japan

Yesterday, ASUS announced its Spring 2012 notebook models for the Japanese market.

The Asus ZENBOOK UX21E Rose Gold (UX21E-KXROSE) is powered by Intel Core i5-2467M processor, 4GB of memory and 128GB SSD. The 11.6-inch ultrabook is loaded with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS. It weighs 1.1kg and offers up to five and a half hours of battery life. The Rose Gold Ultrabook comes with a price of ¥94,800 Yen ($1236 USD).

 

 

 

 

The Asus ZENBOOK UX31E Silver (UX31E-RY256S) ultrabook is equipped with the same ULV Sandy Bridge CPU (as the 11-inch model), and also offers 4GB of RAM.

 

 

 

 

The machine has a 13.3-inch LCD with 1600 × 900 resolution and a 256GB of SSD storage, running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Weighing 1.3kg and managing to be productive around 8.1 hours, the device is offered by Asus for ¥109,800 Yen ($1432 USD).

 

 

 

The Asus U24E notebook is preloaded with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. It comes in Silver (U24E-PX2430S) and Red (U24E-PX2430RS) with Microsoft Office, or in Red (U24E-PX2430) with Kingsoft Office.

The U24E notebook has an 11.6-inch (1366 × 768) display, powered by Intel Core i5-2430M, 4GB DDR3 memory and 750GB hard drive. It weighs approximately 1.5kg and its battery lasts for about 6.8 hours. The models with Office are offered for ¥84,800 ($1106 USD), while the one with Kingsoft Office has a price of ¥59,800 ($780 USD).

The 15.6-incher (1366 × 768), Asus K53 notebook is offered with an Intel or AMD processors.

The Intel-based K53 is equipped with a Core i5-2467M CPU, GeForce 610M (with NVIDIA Optimus Technology), 4GB DDR3 memory and 750GB HDD storage. The notebook weighs 2.6kg and its battery life is about 5.3 hours, running on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

 

 

 

 

The standard K53 model comes in five colors (K53SD-SXBLACK,K53SD-SXWHITE,K53SD-SXBLUE,K53SD-SXRED,K53SD-SXPINK), offered for ¥69,800 ($911 USD). There are two more Intel-based models in Black (KS53SD-SXBLACKS) and White (KS53SD-SXWHITES), loaded with Microsoft Office Home and Business 2010, and coming with a price of for ¥89,800 ($1171 USD).

 

 

 

 

The AMD-based K53 (K53TK-SX0A6) Dark Brown notebook is equipped with an A6-3420M APU, Radeon HD 7670M discrete GPU, 4GB DDR3 memory and 500GB HDD storage. The machine weighs also 2.6kg, but its battery life is a bit less – 4.7 hours. This low-cost notebook has a price of ¥49,800 ($649 USD).

 

 

 

 

The last of Asus Spring 2012 announcement is the K73SM notebook model. K73SM-TY2670 has a 17.3-inch widescreen LCD with 1600 × 900 display resolution. It comes with an Intel Core i7-2670QM quad-core CPU, Nvidia GeForce 630M, 8GB DDR3 memory, 1TB HDD storage and Blu-ray drive.

The notebook is running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit operating system. It weighs 3.1kg, and offers 5 hours on a charge. It can be purchased for ¥99,800 ($1301 USD).

 

Asus outs first the K53TK-SX0A6 (AMD-based 15-incher) notebook, available from January 28th, 2012 (today). All the rest announced models will be available from February 3rd, 2012, except the 17-inch K73SM model, which will be shipping in early March, this year.
