Yesterday, Eurocom launched its 17.3-inch full HD Panther 4.0 super-notebook.

Panther 4.0 is the world’s most powerful Super-Notebook. It has a 17.3-inch full HD (1920 x 1080) display (a choice of matte, glossy or 3D). The machine is equipped with Intel X79 Sandy Bridge-E Core Logic and a desktop Intel Core i7-3960X (6 cores/12 threads – 3.9 GHz with 15MB of L3 cache) Extreme edition processor with 130W TDP, using LGA2011 socket (Intel Xeon processors supported too).

For the Panther 4.0 Eurocom offers a huge selection of graphic cards, configurable in single, SLI or CrossfireX mode, including NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580M, NVIDIA Quadro 5010M (4GB VRAM), AMD Radeon HD 6990M (2GB VRAM).

In addition, the notebook offers up to 32GB of DDR3-1600 (SODIMM 204-pin) memory (four channels), up to four storage drives (2 x SATA 600 and 2 x SATA 300) configurable in RAID 0/1/5/10. You also get TPM (1.2) module, Fingerprint reader and a backlit full-size keyboard (with numeric keypad).

The EUROCOM Panther 4.0 comes with plenty of ports including three USB 3.0 ports (1 is powered USB port), two USB 2.0, eSATA (powered USB 3.0 (AC/DC) combo), Mini IEEE 1394b, a Display port (Reversion depends on Video Controller), DVI, HDMI 1.4a (with HDCP), RJ-45 and DC-in. It also has a 2MP FHD webcam, Bluetooth, WLAN (Intel 82579V), THX TruStudio Pro audio and the new UEFI BIOS.
