Asus announces additional Spring 2012 notebook models in Japan

Asus announced additional Spring 2012 notebook and netbook models for the Japanese market.

 

 

 

 

The additional Asus models for Spring 2012 include – the 11.6-inch Asus Hot Pink Zenbook UX21E, the 17.3-inch K73SD notebook, Eee PC 1025C/ Eee PC 1025CE  (the Flare Series), Eee PC 1225B, and the low-cost Eee PC X101CH netbook model.

 

 

 

 

 

The Asus Hot Pink Zenbook (UX21E) is a high performance ultrabook equipped with an Intel Core i5-2467M ULV processor, 4GB of memory, 128GB Sata 3.0 SSD and a 11.6-inch WXGA (1366×768) LCD display. It also comes with Wi-Fi, microHDMI port, mini VGA, USB 3.0, a USB 2.0 port and a webcam. The ultrabook runs 7 Home Premium 64-bit and can hold up to 5.5 hours on a charge. It weighs 1.1kg and is 3mm – 17mm thick.

The Asus Hot Pink Zenbook is expected to be released in late March, this year, with a suggested retail price of ¥94,800 Yen ($1150 USD).

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Asus K73SD is a premium multimedia notebook with a 17.3-inch WXGA++ (1600×900) display. It is powered by Intel Core i7-2670QM processor, NVIDIA GeForce 610M, 8GB memory and two 500GB hard drives (a total of 1TB storage space). The machine has Wi-Fi, an HDMI, four USB 2.0 ports and a card reader, plus an optical Blu-ray Disc drive. It comes preloaded with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, weighs 3.1kg, and its battery life is approximately 5 hours.

The Asus K73SD will be released (in Japan) tomorrow, on March 10th, 2012 (Saturday), with a retail price of ¥99,800 Yen ($1210 USD).

 

 

 

 

 

The Eee PC 1025C/ 1025CE (Flare Series) comes in four color variations (black, white, blue, and pink), with features like “Instant On” and ”USB Charger +”. The netbook has the latest Intel Atom N2800 (1.8GHz) processor, 1GB memory, 320GB HDD, running on Windows 7 Starter and preloaded with Microsoft Office Personal 2010. In addition there is a 0.3MP webcam, Wi-Fi, WiMAX module, and plenty of ports including an HDMI, USB 3.0, USB 2.0 and an SD card slot. The netbook offers 10 hours on a charge, weighs 1.2kg and measures 20.7mm at its thinnest point.

  • Eee PC 1025CE (Blue, Pink) – ¥42,800 Yen ($519 USD).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Asus also offers an AMD based model – the Eee PC 1225B, which comes in three colors (red, black, and silver). The netbook has an 11.6-inch WXGA (1366×768) display, an AMD APU C60 dual-core processor, AMD Radeon HD 6290 graphics, 2GB RAM and a 320 hard drive. Also, there are two USB 3.0 ports, a USB 2.0, an HDMI and a card reader. It is loaded with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS, and can be productive for 6.5 hours.

And finally, the low-entry Eee PC X101CH (the last device from today’s announcement). The netbook is equipped with a 10.1-inch WSVGA (1024×600) display, an Intel Atom N2600 processor, 1GB memory and a 320GB HDD. It comes with Wi-Fi, HDMI, two USB 3.0 ports, a USB 2.0 and a card reader. The Eee PC X101CH weighs 1kg, runs Windows 7 Starter (pre-loaded with KINGSOFT Office 2012 Standard), and its battery life is about 4 hours on a single charge.
