Lenovo announced ThinkPad X1, X220, X220i, T420s and T420i in Japan

Lenovo announced ThinkPad X1, X220, X220i, T420s and T420i for the Japanese market.

All products are equipped with the WiMAX module, 4GB of RAM and Lenovo Enhanced Experience 2.0 for Windows 7, which optimizes the performance of a PC with Windows 7. Also, the laptops are equipped with Lenovo RapidBoot Technology (enabling faster shutdown/boot times), Power Manager (reducing power consumption) and “Peak Shift”, which automatically avoid use of electricity during peak power consumption hours.

Lenovo unveils its ThinkPad X1 thinnest 13-inch laptop

Today Lenovo announced its 13-inch ThinkPad X1 laptop that gives users the thinnest and highest performance combination for its class compared to major vendors. The laptop offers a simple, modern style with backlit keyboard. It uses new RapidCharge battery technology for fast charging batteries.

The ThinkPad X1 laptop measures less than 17 mm, approximately the height of a U.S. penny. Packed into the ultra-thin form factor are choices of second generation Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 processors (typically offered on Lenovo’s larger 14 and 15-inch laptops). This engineering allows the ThinkPad X1 laptop to double the CPU performance and quadruple the graphics performance of the ThinkPad X301(Lenovo’s previous flagship 13-inch laptop).
