HP introduces its 8.9-inch HP Slate 2 Business Tablet and its new 11.6-inch HP 3115m Business notebook

Today, HP introduced its 8.9-inch HP Slate 2 business tablet and its new 11.6-inch HP 3115m business notebook.

The announced HP Slate 2 Tablet PC comes with expanded touch capabilities, enhanced multitasking performance and embedded security.

The HP Slate 2 has an 8.9-inch capacitive multi touch display, which supports touch and pen input plus a new Swype keyboard. It is powered by 1.5GHz Intel Atom Z670 processor (only 32-bit Windows 7 OS support), a small SSD (mSATA SSM) for faster boot times, and longer battery life – up to six hours (depends on use).

HP will launch its WebOS 32GB TouchPad 4G tablet on AT&T in the U.S., in time for back to school.

 

The TouchPad 4G is with a faster 1.5-GHz CPU, 32 GB of storage space, integrated GPS and AT&T wireless mobile broadband capabilities. The connected version of HP’s first webOS tablet lets users browse the web, check e-mails and get more done in more places – not just Wi-Fi hotspots.

HP announced TouchPad availability

Yesterday HP Announced TouchPad availability for U.S. (on July 1, 2011), Europe and Canada. The Wi-Fi version of first HP webOS tablet is also coming to Asia Pacific later this year.

HP’s first webOS tablet will be available in the United Kingdom, Ireland, France and Germany a few days later. Availability scheduled in Canada for mid-July to follow later this year in Italy and Spain, as well as in Australia, Hong Kong, New Zealand and Singapore.
