Toshiba REGZA AT700 just got lighter with 23g, after CES 2012 ended.

 

 

Toshiba REGZA AT700 (above) just got lighter with 23 grams, after the company introduced its new Excite X10 tablet at CES 2012, in Las Vegas.

A week ago, when Toshiba showed its new Excite X10 tablet at CES (for the US market), we thought that the company is exhibiting some radically hardware-upgraded model of its AT200 (which was introduced for the European market) or REGZA AT700 tablet (the Japanese version). At that time the Toshiba AT200 (in September, 2011) and the REGZA AT700 (in October, 2011) were weighing exactly 558g (below - screenshot of REGZA AT700, October, 2011).

Toshiba announces the release date of its 10.1-inch REGZA Tablet AT700 in Japan

Toshiba announced the release date of its 10.1-inch REGZA Tablet AT700 in Japan.

The REGZA AT700 is the world’s thinnest and lightest tablet 10.1-inch tablet, measuring just 7.7mm thin and weighing only 558g.  The REGZA AT700 is powered by a 1.2 GHz TI OMAP 4430 dual-core processor (Texas Instruments), 1GB memory and  32GB of storage. It comes with WiFi, Bluetooth v2.1 + EDR, 2MP front-facing camera, 5MP rear camera, a micro USB 2.0 port, micro HDMI  and a card reader. Read the rest of this entry »

Toshiba announces its new REGZA Tablets-AT700 and AT3S0 in Japan

Today, Toshiba announced its new REGZA Tablets with Android 3.2 – REGZA AT700 and REGZA AT3S0 in Japan.

Toshiba’s new REGZA AT700 is the world’s thinnest and lightest tablet (10.1-inch).

This ultra-thin device is 7.7mm thin and weighs only 558g, yet sports a 10.1-inch display and packs an extensive range of essential ports and interfaces. The REGZA AT700 is equipped with a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor  from Texas Instruments – TI OMAP 4430. In addition, 32GB storage, 1GB RAM, two cameras (2MP, 5MP), micro USB connector, a card reader and a micro HDMI port for connecting the tablet to an external monitor or a TV.
