Today, Samsung Electronics announced the launch of its new high-performance Samsung Notebook Series 5 Ultra in South Korea.

Samsung Notebook Series 5 Ultra has a high-quality aluminum body and compact design, making it an Ultra portable device.

The Series 5 Ultra comes in two sizes, one with a 13.3-inch and another with a 14-inch anti-reflective display. It also uses an 8 GB ExpressCache system (from Diskeeper), which maximizes its speed performance for multi media and game contents. And Thanks to Samsung’s Fast Start technology, the Series 5 Ultra boots superfast, comes out of sleep mode within 2 seconds and from hibernation within 7 seconds.

Acer inroduced four new models of its Aspire S3 Ultrabook in Taiwan.

Acer sold six thousand units of its Aspire S3 Ultrabook  in Taiwan, and due to that unprecedented success Acer will launch four new models. 

The four new models of the Aspire S come with Intel Core i5-2467M processor and are equipped with a 240GB solid state drive (SSD), 320 GB, 500 GB hard drive (HDD), and one model equipped with Intel Core i7-2637M processor and 500GB HDD. 

The 13.3-inch Acer Aspire S resumes within 2 seconds, has a standby up to 50 days, comes with a new generation of lightweight long-lasting lithium battery, has an excellent energy-saving technology (Acer Green Instant On) and a battery life up to 6 hours. It is also equipped with the fourth generation of Dolby Surround Sound, and weighs less than 1.4kg with its thinnest part being only 13mm.

The first Ultrabook from Acer (announced at IFA, a few days ago) is promoted with its slim, compact and light design – weighing just 1.4kg. The machine has some nice features including instant on, instant connect, long battery life, resuming from Sleep mode in just 1.5 seconds and from Deep Sleep mode in less than 6 seconds. The Acer Aspire S3’s battery can hold up to 7 hours on a single charge.

The attractive Ultrabook will be seen on the market in September, October with a starting price  €799 ($1135 USD).

ASUS announced its 12.1-inch Eee PC 1215B in a new RED color for the Japanese market, which will be available in mid-September, this year.

Asus added a new RED color to its The Eee PC 1215B netbook, in addition to the current black and silver products.

The ASUS Eee PC 1215B netbook is based on the AMD Brazos platform and features the new dual-core E-350 + AMD Radeon HD 6310 graphics Fusion APU. The Accelerated Processing Unit enables visually rich, enhanced PC experiences even on small form factor devices.
