MSI intros its new 10.1-inch Wind U180 netbook with Cedar Trail

Author: Today, MSI introduced its new 10.1-inch Wind U180 netbook with Cedar Trail CPU.
The MSI Wind U180 is equipped with Intel’s latest 32nm-based Atom (N2800/ N2600) dual-core processors (introduced in Q4, 2011), up to 2GB DDR3 (800MHz/ 1066MHz) memory and 320/ 250GB hard drive. The netbook has a 10.1-inch (1024 x 600) ultra slim LED backlit display, powered by Intel GMA 3650 graphics.

Intel releases N2600 and N2800-two new low-power dual-core Atom processors for netbooks
Intel released N2600 and N2800 – its new low-power dual-core Atom processors for netbooks.
The N2600 and N2800 are Intel’s Third-generation Atom Cedar Trail processors with low-power designs intended for the netbook sector. Those 32nm processors offer 20% better performance compared to previous generation, full HD 1080p video Playback, up to 10 hours of battery life and weeks of standby at an affordable price.
The 1.6GHz N2600 and 1.86GHz N2800 dual-core processors work in harmony with the integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3600/ 3650 (which offer improved graphics performance up to 2X compared to the previous generations) and the Intel NM10 Express Chipset, featuring a small form factor package size which allows thinner netbook designs.

Yesterday, ASUS introduced its Eee Slate B121 in Russia 
This model is aimed at business users and combines a compact design with unique capabilities and features of a tablet device. Asus will offer its 12.1-inch (with AFFS technology) high performance Eee Slate B121 in Russia, with a choice of Windows 7 Professional or Windows 7 Ultimate. All the rest (specifications) are as announced already from Asus.

Asus announced the release of its 12.1-inch Eee Slate B121 Windows 7 Tablet PC in Japan.
ASUS Eee Slate B121 is powered by the latest 1.33GHz Intel Core i5-470UM processor and runs Windows 7 Professional 32-bit. The Eee Slate is equipped with TPM v1.2 security chip by TCG (Trusted Computing Group), for enhanced encryption and more secured work environment. It has a 12.1-inch high-end FFS display (Fringe Field Switching) with wide viewing angle of 178 °, electromagnetic induction system, capacitive multi-touch and Wacom Feel IT Technology – Electro Magnetic Resonance Technology (EMR) supporting pen input operations.
