Sony Vaio VPCM12M1E (PCG-21313M) netbook – damaged power jack replacement. Its center pin’s plastic was broken. The netbook was not charging, due to a bad contact with the adapter.

Sony Vaio VPCW221AX netbook dropped from three feet-no display

Sony Vaio VPCW221AX netbook was dropped from three feet – no display on its screen.

 

 

Recently, we have been busy with some machines with different issues, which we will show you sequentially in the upcoming days.

The first one is a Sony Vaio VPCW221AX netbook (VAIO W Series Mini Laptop), which was brought to us, at Laptoport. The mini notebook was dropped by the user from about three feet height, externally nothing seems broken, there was just a mark on its side (image below), and when switched on, was not displaying anything on its screen.

MSI releases its new 10.1-inch Wind U180 netbook in Japan

Today, MSI released its 10.1-inch Wind U180 – Cedar Trail netbook in Japan.

 

 

The MSI U180 has a 10.1-inch (1024 x 600) LED backlit display, powered by the latest Intel Atom N2600 1.6GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of DDR3 memory and 320GB HDD. The netbook also has Wi-Fi IEEE802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v3.0 + HS, a 0.3MP webcam, two USB 2.0 ports, an HDMI port and a card reader.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 appears on a billboard in Barcelona

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 was shown on a billboard in Barcelona.

 

 

A day before the beginning of the MWC 2012, in Barcelona, Samsung began showing its new Galaxy Note 10.1 on outdoor billboards. The device has a 10.1-inch display and also comes with an S pen input support (as seen on the image above), and will most likely run ICS at a later stage, as its smaller sibling, which was released in the States (from AT&T) with Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

Asus gets ready to out new Transformer Prime 10.1-inch tablets

Asus is getting ready to out new Transformer Prime 10.1-inch tablets.

 

 

According to a leaked confidential spec sheet posted by Tabletowo (a Polish site), Asus is preparing to out another two Transformer Prime models, both running ICS.

The TF300T will be equipped with a 1.2 GHz Nvidia Tegra 3 (Kal-El) quad-core processor, 1GB of DDR3 memory and 16GB of storage, under the hood. All the rest specs look the same as the TF201, apart from the 8MP rear-facing camera (without a flash light), its thickness of 9.9mm (the TF201 model is with 1.6mm thinner) and its battery life of 8.5 hours and 12.5 hours with the docking keyboard connected. Also, the TF300T model will be a bit weighty; weighing 640g (TF201 is 58g lighter).
