Samsung launches its second-gen Series 9 notebooks in S.Korea

Today, Samsung announced the official launch of its new second-generation Series 9 notebooks in South Korea.

 

 

Samsung Electronics held a domestic Series 9 notebook media launch event, at the D’light hall in Seocho-dong, in Seoul, South Korea.

The luxury second-generation Series 9 notebook is offered with a 13-inch or a 15-inch display in a Mineral ash black color. The ultra-slim and compact-sized Samsung Series 9 comes with a Single Shell “Aero Dynamic” body design. The 13-inch model is just 12.9mm (0.5 inch) thin and weighs 1.16kg (2.56 lbs), while the 15-incher is 14.9mm (0.58 inch) thin, weighing 1.59kg (3.5 lbs) and offers up to 10 hours of battery life on a single charge.

Fujitsu announces a waterproof tablet-ARROWS Tab Wi-Fi in Japan

Fujitsu announced its ARROWS Tab Wi-Fi – a WiFi model, waterproof tablet for the Japanese market.

 

 

Yesterday, Fujitsu announced (in Tokyo) the release of its new tablet – ARROWS Tab Wi-Fi.

The ARROWS Tab Wi-Fi is equipped with a fingerprint sensor and is IPX5/ IPX7 water-resistant. It has a 10.1-inch color TFT LCD WXGA (1280 × 800) display (Saku Saku touch-panel). The device is powered by 1GHz TI OMAP4430 dual-core processor, 1GB of memory, and is offered with 16GB (same specs as the NTT Docomo’s (Xi) ARROWS Tab LTE F-01D model (manufactured by Fujitsu) or 32GB of storage capacity.

Acer announces its new Aspire S5 Ultrabook and Iconia Tab A700

Two hours ago, Acer announced its new Aspire S5 Ultrabook, a new service – AcerCloud, and its Iconia Tab A700 tablet, at CES in Las Vegas.

 

 

Chairman and CEO of Acer JT Wang opened the Press Conference, and said that “By Q2 this year, Acer will have four models of ultrabook.” and later added, “We already have Aspire S3, today you will see Aspire S5.”, and later, “The ultrabook is a mainstream train that cannot be stopped.” , and “When Windows 8 launches in the second half of this year, we’ll launch more ultrabooks for the new OS.” added Mr. JT Wang (photos of Mr. JT Wang, not included).

Lenovo unveils its ThinkPad X1 Hybrid dual-CPU Dual-OS notebook

Lenovo unveiled its new ThinkPad X1 Hybrid – dual-CPU Dual-OS business notebook.

 

 

Today, Lenovo announced its ThinkPad X1 Hybrid business notebook (with up to 10 hours of battery life with integrated 4-cell and external slice 6-cell battery).

The ThinkPad X1 Hybrid notebook has a 13.3-inch high definition display, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. The Hybrid is powered by two processors and comes with a dual operating system. When in Windows 7, the notebook uses latest Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 processors, 160GB SSD or 320GB (5400rpm) hard drive. And when you switch to IMM (Instant Media Mode) the notebook starts using a dual core Qualcomm processor, 16 GB of additional storage and a custom Linux-based OS.

Onkyo announces the launch of its 10.1-inch SlatePad TA2C-Android 3.2 business tablet

On November 16th (2011), Onkyo announced the launch of its 10.1-inch SlatePad TA2C – Android 3.2 business tablet, in Japan.

 

 

The Onkyo SlatePad TA2C is powered by a 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 250 dual core Cortex A9 processor, 1GB LP-DDR2 (600MHz) memory and 16GB of flash storage. The tablet has a 10.1-inch (1280×800) wide TFT LED backlit glossy LCD capacitive display with 10-finger multi-touch support and two cameras – 2MP front and 5MP rear (with autofocus).

Panasonic will showcase its 10.1-inch TOUGHPAD FZ-A1 rugged tablet at the Tokyo Big Sight – Tokyo International Exhibition Center, in Japan (tomorrow).

Panasonic unveils its 10.1-inch Toughpad A1 and 7-inch Toughpad B1 rugged business tablets loaded with Honeycomb

Panasonic unveiled its 10.1-inch Toughpad A1 and 7-inch Toughpad B1 “100% Fearless” rugged business tablets loaded with Android 3.2 Honeycomb.

 

 

The Panasonic Toughpad A1 comes with a 10.1-inch (1024×768) XGA (4:3), capacitive multi-touch display, powered by 1.2GHz Marvell Dual-Core processor, 1GB of LPDDR2 memory and 16GB of storage. The rugged tablet has plenty of ports including micro HDMI, micro-USB, micro SDHC (up to 32GB), and also offers Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, GPS and 4G LTE or WiMAX mobile broadband (optional).
