Asus announced additional Spring 2012 notebook and netbook models for the Japanese market.

The additional Asus models for Spring 2012 include – the 11.6-inch Asus Hot Pink Zenbook UX21E, the 17.3-inch K73SD notebook, Eee PC 1025C/ Eee PC 1025CE (the Flare Series), Eee PC 1225B, and the low-cost Eee PC X101CH netbook model.
Gigabyte introduces the U2442V and U2442N Ultrabooks at CeBIT
Today, Gigabyte introduced the U2442V and U2442N Ultrabooks, at CeBIT 2012, in Hanover, Germany.

Gigabyte’s first ultrabook U2442 comes in two variants – U2442N and U2442V, both equipped with a 14-inch HD+ (1600 x 900) LED Backlit display, powered by an NVIDIA GeForce GT640M graphics processor with 2GB of VRAM.

Yesterday, ASUS announced its Spring 2012 notebook models for the Japanese market.

The Asus ZENBOOK UX21E Rose Gold (UX21E-KXROSE) is powered by Intel Core i5-2467M processor, 4GB of memory and 128GB SSD. The 11.6-inch ultrabook is loaded with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS. It weighs 1.1kg and offers up to five and a half hours of battery life. The Rose Gold Ultrabook comes with a price of ¥94,800 Yen ($1236 USD).

Toshiba announced the release of its Spring 2012 notebook models for the Japanese market.

Today, Toshiba released four new models of its dynabook R731 notebook series, one dynabook Qosmio T751 model, and a model of its dynabook Qosmio T551 notebook line (all in two colors).
Toshiba’s dynabook R731 series notebook is the World’s lightest 13.3-inch notebook with an optical drive. The notebook comes with a slim, compact and lightweight magnesium alloy body, and weighs just 1.29kg. The dynabook R731 is equipped with the latest Intel Core i7/ i5 Sandy Bridge processors, up to 8GB of DDR3 1333MHz memory and 120GB of SSD or 640GB hard drive. It has a 13.3-inch HD (1366 x 768) TFT LCD LED backlit display (16:9), powered by the integrated Intel HD Graphics 3000.

Samsung introduced its Samsung Notebook Series 5 ULTRA at CES 2012.

The Samsung Notebook Series 5 ULTRA is available with 13-inch and 14-inch 300nit SuperBright Anti-glare (anti-reflective) HD LED (1366 x 768) display with Image Enhancer technology.
The 13-inch Samsung Notebook Series 5 ULTRA is just 14mm ~ 17.6mm thin and weighs 1.38kg. It comes with up to 500GB hard drive (optional 128GB SSD or 258GB SSD) and 16GB iSSD with ExpressCache. In addition it has a full-size HDMI, a USB 3.0, two USB 2.0, 4-in-1 multi SD card slot, RJ-45 and a webcam.
Lenovo announces its portfolio of SMB notebooks
Yesterday, Lenovo announced its portfolio of SMB notebooks.

The portfolio includes the premium ThinkPad Edge S Series, the mainstream ThinkPad Edge E Series and entry-level Lenovo B Series, available in select markets.
The ThinkPad Edge S430 notebook is equipped with the latest Intel Core processors and Thunderbolt Technology. The 14-inch notebook comes in Mocha Black, measures less than one-inch thin and has metal accents. It has a DVD burner or a second hard drive (up to 1 TB of storage), choices of Intel integrated or NVIDIA Optimus graphics, Dolby Home Theatre v4 and USB 3.0 ports. The notebook also comes with Lenovo Solution Center powered by Intel Small Business Advantage (a set of productivity and security tools).

Lenovo announced a second Ultrabook ahead of CES 2012 – the ThinkPad T430u for business.

Yesterday, along with its ThinkPad X1 Hybrid notebook, Lenovo announced the ThinkPad T430u – the company’s First Business Ultrabook.
The ThinkPad T430u Ultrabook comes with a thin and light design, an aluminum top cover, matte finish and ThinkPad’s new, modern and minimalist island-style keyboard. The 14-inch machine is equipped with latest Intel Core processors, Intel’s integrated or NVIDIA graphics and a choice of SSD storage or up to 1TB hard drive. Its battery can hold up to about six hours on a single charge and the Ultrabook has a quick resume and fast boot up times. In addition, Lenovo Solution Center (powered by Intel Small Business Advantage) offers a set of productivity and security tools.
