HP announced its ENVY 14 Spectre Ultrabook at CES 2012 in Las Vegas.
HP announced its new ENVY 14 Spectre – an Ultrabook with a 14-inch high-definition HP Radiance Display inside a 13.3-inch body, which is partially made of scratch-resistant glass (the lid, display, palmrest and HP ImagePad).
Toshiba announced its dynabook R631/W1TD Ultrabook model – for online sales in Japan.
The dynabook R631 (Winter 2011 Ultrabook) is equipped with a 1.80GHz Intel Core i7-2677M Quad Core Sandy Bridge processor (launched in Q2,2011), 4GB of DDR3 (1333MHz) PC3-10600 memory working in dual channel (from which 2GB is built-in onboard) and an SSD storage of 128GB (from which 100GB free space).
Today, HP also introduced its new ENVY Notebook PCs – HP ENVY 15, HP ENVY 17 and HP ENVY 17 3D.
The HP ENVY series notebooks are equipped with Intel Core i processor, with optional Intel Quad Core and AMD Mobility Radeon HD graphic processors. Also, optional 3×3 wireless technology (up to three times the speed and twice the range of typical network connections).
The ENVY 15 and ENVY 17 are available with 15.6-inch or 17.3-inch optional Radiance Full HD Infinity displays. Radiance displays offer higher resolution, richer color, better brightness and wider viewing angles than traditional notebook displays. The ENVY 17 display offers 50 percent greater brightness than standard ones. And with its HDMI port and full-size DisplayPorts, users can connect up to three external monitors.
Today, HP introduced (finally) its first business Ultrabook- HP Folio 13, with “Industry’s Best Battery Life”.
The HP Folio13 is less than 18mm thin, and comes with an ultraslim 13.3-inch HD BrightView display. The device weighs only 3.3 pounds and is powered by the latest Intel Core processors. It also includes Intel Rapid Start Technology (for fast start up times), a backlit keyboard and lots of ports, including USB 3.0 and RJ-45 (LAN).
The HP Folio13 is equipped with a 128GB solid-state drive (SSD), and will also be available with a TPM Embedded Security Chip, for data protection (January, 2012).
Today, Toshiba released in Japan its new Dynabook R631 – another 13.3-inch Ultrabook.
Toshiba’s Dynabook R631 Ultrabook comes with 1.6 GHz Intel Core i5-2467M dual-core Sandy Bridge processor, delivering four threads with Intel’s Hyper-Threading and processor speeds up to 2.3 GHz with Intel’s Turbo Boost 2.0 technology. This energy efficient CPU has plenty of power, supporting VT-x, Anti-Theft and 4G WiMAX Wireless with a step TDP of just 17W.
Samsung’s 15-inch Series 7 Chronos notebook coming in October – 3 official videos.
Samsung’s new Series 7 Chronos notebook isn’t an Ultrabook, but still features spectacular specs – a smaller bezel that allows a 15-inch screen to be embedded in what was formerly a 14-inch chassis. Running Windows 7 Home Premium/ Windows 7 Professional, it’ll start up in about 19 seconds and also provides an 8GB flash memory boost right from the motherboard — along with an 8-cell battery that can go for 9 hours. Today, Samsung Electronics America announced its new Series 7 notebook in the US.
The Series 7 notebook has a sleek brushed-aluminum body (under one-inch thick), smooth lines and a stunningly thin bezel screen, the Series 7 embodies premium design, making it the ideal computer.
By lessening the bezel and increasing the screen, the Samsung Series 7 laptop is highly portable without sacrificing screen size. With Samsung’s latest Max Screen technology, the Series 7 enables users to experience up to an extra inch of viewing without sacrificing mobility or portability. The 14-inch display is being contained within the form factor traditionally associated with a 13-inch model.
