The German ISP 1&1 offers 3 tablet bundles for 39.99 Euro per month.

 

 

1&1 (a German ISP) has set up three tablet packages – for those of you who live in Germany and are thinking of getting a tablet PC. The company is offering a choice of 3 tablets (Huawei MediaPad 3G, a Motorola Xoom or a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1N) with a SIM card, up to 14.4Mbps mobile broadband internet speeds and 100GB of storage space for 39.99 Euro per month ($52 USD), plus an activation fee of 29.90 Euro ($39 USD).

Samsung finally launches its GALAXY Tab 10.1 in Australia

Today, Samsung finally launched its GALAXY Tab 10.1 in Australia.

 

 

 

Last Friday, the Australia’s High Court lifted the sales ban of Samsung’s shoulders, and  now Australian shoppers will have the opportunity to purchase a Galaxy Tab, in time for the Christmas shopping season.

Today, Samsung Electronics Australia, announced the launch of its GALAXY Tab 10.1 slim and light tablet, which will run Samsung’s customised version of Android 3.1 Honeycomb.

Asus announces the launch of its 10.1-inch Eee Pad Slider SL101 for Japan

Today, Asus announced the launch of its 10.1-inch Eee Pad Slider SL101 for the Japanese market.

The ultralight Eee Pad Slider SL101 tablet comes in white. It is 18.3mm thin and weighs about 960g. The Slider’s 10.1-inch wide multi-touch IPS LCD screen (with scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass) is powered by NVIDIA Tegra processor, 32GB of storage space and 1GB LPDDR2 memory. The device runs Android 3.1 Honeycomb (upgradeable to 3.2), and supports Adobe Flash (can be downloaded from Android Market).

Samsung launches and announces availability of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 in the US

Yesterday, SAMSUNG launched and announced availability of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 along with the Galaxy Player 5.0 and 4.0. for the U.S.

The Galaxy Tab 8.9 is the thinnest mobile tablets currently available in the U.S. market, measuring just 8.6 millimeters. The tablet has a 1.5GHz T250S dual-core processor, powering its 8.9-inch (1280×800) WXGA TFT display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. The tablet includes a 6100mAh battery for hours of entertainment and weighs less than one pound (447g).

Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet helps over 400 students to educate in Seton Hall University, U.S.

 

Seton Hall University announced that is the first higher education institution in the U.S. to use Lenovo’s ThinkPad Tablet PC, with more than 400 tablets (even more than the last announcement from Lenovo) now circulating among students and faculty in the Sciences, Honors and School of Business Leadership Programs. The University is making the 10.1-inch, Android 3.1 tablets a central part of its Mobile Computing Program as well as an essential teaching device.

Archos announces store availability for its G9 tablets

Archos announced store availability for its G9 tablets – ARCHOS 101 G9 (10.1-inch) and ARCHOS 80 G9 (8-inch).

The two tablets (shown at IFA, while unveiled in late June) have 1.5GHz TI OMAP 4 (Texas Instruments OMAP 4460 dual-core) CPU, which Archos says is 50% more powerful than the NVIDIA Tegra 2 CPU. The G9 tablets are running Android 3.2 (earlier announced to run Google’s Android 3.1, but as we suspected – now they come with Android 3.2 Honeycomb).   Read the rest of this entry »
