Samsung announces a new 7-inch-GALAXY Tab 2 Android 4.0 tablet

Samsung announced its new 7-inch – GALAXY Tab 2 Android 4.0 tablet.

Today, Samsung introduced its first tablet for 2012 – the GALAXY Tab 2 (7.0) running Android 4.0 (ICS).

The tablet is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of memory and 8/ 16/ 32GB of storage space. It has a 7-inch WSVGA (1024 x 600) PLS TFT display, WiFi, Bluetooth v3.0, USB, a webcam, a 3MP rear-facing camera with fixed focus and a microSD card reader (for additional 32GB storage). The tablet weighs just 344g with its standard 4000mAh Li-ion battery.

Asus helps and unlocks the bootloader of its Transformer Prime

Asus helps the modding community and unlocks the bootloader of its Transformer Prime device.Today, Asus announced that is preparing to out an ICS update for the Transformer Prime.

The update version 8.8.3.33 will get better the focus capabilities of the Prime‘s camera, will enhance the touch experience, and the APK capabilities in Android Market. Asus will make available the Android 4.0 ICS (Ice Cream Sandwich) FOTA worldwide update for the Prime, starting from January 12th, this year.

ARCHOS unveiled its ARCHOS 70b-low cost 7-inch internet tablet

ARCHOS unveiled its ARCHOS 70b – a low-cost 7-inch Android 3.2 tablet.

 

 

Two days ago, ARCHOS announced the prices and availability of its low-cost Android 3.2 Honeycomb internet tablet. 

The ARCHOS 70b tablet comes with a 7-inch (1024 x 600) capacitive multi-touch screen, which is powered by a 1.2GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor, 3D graphics, 512MB memory and 32GB of storage space (expandable to additional 32GB via the micro SD card reader). The tablet has a front facing camera, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v2.1 and includes plenty of apps – Google Calendar, Google Maps, Google Talk, video chat, YouTube and access to the Android Market. It also offers a mini HDMI port through which the user can connect a monitor or a TV.

Today, ZTE Corporation (Shenzhen, China) announced the global launch (twitted about an hour ago) of its second-generation ZTE Light Tab 2 tablet in Hong Kong, Spain and Indonesia. The global launch will continue in Europe, France, U.K. and in Asia in Malaysia from early 2012.

The Light Tab 2 is 12.6mm thin, and is equipped with a 7-inch (1024 x 600) WSVGA HD TFT display, powered by 1.4GHz Qualcomm single core processor, 4GB of storage space and 512MB of memory. It comes with two cameras onboard, a 0.3MP CMOS front-facing camera and a 3MP rear camera with autofocus and 1.6x digital zoom. The tablet also supports Dolby surround sound and video playback formats including H.264, MPEG4 (720p) and Flash.

Samsung finally launches its GALAXY Tab 10.1 in Australia

Today, Samsung finally launched its GALAXY Tab 10.1 in Australia.

 

 

 

Last Friday, the Australia’s High Court lifted the sales ban of Samsung’s shoulders, and  now Australian shoppers will have the opportunity to purchase a Galaxy Tab, in time for the Christmas shopping season.

Today, Samsung Electronics Australia, announced the launch of its GALAXY Tab 10.1 slim and light tablet, which will run Samsung’s customised version of Android 3.1 Honeycomb.

Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime is now officially available for pre-order.

 

 

 

 

The Asus Transformer Prime is so far, the most powerful Android tablet released to date.  The 10.1-inch Prime comes with a Quad-Core Tegra 3 processor, 8MP camera and choices of 32GB/ 64GB storage capacity, its sound is powered by SonicMaster technology, and its battery life is improved up to 12 hours, comparing to the TF101 (up from 9.5 hours). 

The Prime device weights just 1.29lbs and is only 0.33-inch thin. Sharp announces its 7-inch Galapagos EB-A71GJ-B Media Tablet in Japan

On November 16th, 2011, Sharp announced its 7-inch Galapagos EB-A71GJ-B Media Tablet in Japan.

 

 

 

Sharp’s new Galapagos EB-A71GJ-B media tablet has a NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual core processor, under the hood. It is equipped with a 7-inch (1024×600) WSVGA TFT LED backlit capacitive multi-touch display, 1GB of memory and 8GB of storage, which can be expanded via its card reader (up to 32GB).
