Compaq 615 notebook used on Valentine’s Day.

Recently, we had an HP Compaq 615 notebook, brought to us for a clean up. The notebook was left next to a candle on Valentine’s Day, and its display lid got melted a bit – forming a spot on its 15.6-inch WXGA LED backlit display (still working and visible).

Almost a year ago (back in May, 2011), we had an MSI EX610 (MS-163D) notebook brought to us, at Laptoport, for a noisy-fan replacement. Recently the machine stopped working, and here it is again.
Two Acer Aspire 5536 notebooks with different issues
Recently, two Acer Aspire 5536 notebooks (with different issues) were brought to us, at Laptoport.

The first notebook was sent by the owner (somewhere) for a keyboard replacement, unfortunately the person who replaced the keyboard broke the clip (part of the keyboard connector) holding the keyboard ribbon cable. The second Acer Aspire 5536 was overheating a bit, and the owner brought it for a clean-up.
MSI EX610 (MS-163D) noisy fan replacement
MSI EX610 (MS-163D) brought to Laptoport workshop for replacement of a noisy fan.
A few months ago this machine was having overheating problems. It was cleaned and tested with Vista Home Premium. Then the user requested a downgrade to XP Pro, but lately the fan started to make noise. This model is from the easy-to-open ones, so as to reach cpu, heatsink and fan.
