Sharp announces its 7-inch Galapagos EB-A71GJ-B Media Tablet in Japan
On November 16th, 2011, Sharp announced its 7-inch Galapagos EB-A71GJ-B Media Tablet in Japan.
Sharp’s new Galapagos EB-A71GJ-B media tablet has a NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual core processor, under the hood. It is equipped with a 7-inch (1024×600) WSVGA TFT LED backlit capacitive multi-touch display, 1GB of memory and 8GB of storage, which can be expanded via its card reader (up to 32GB).
Onkyo announces the launch of its 10.1-inch SlatePad TA2C-Android 3.2 business tablet
On November 16th (2011), Onkyo announced the launch of its 10.1-inch SlatePad TA2C – Android 3.2 business tablet, in Japan.

The Onkyo SlatePad TA2C is powered by a 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 250 dual core Cortex A9 processor, 1GB LP-DDR2 (600MHz) memory and 16GB of flash storage. The tablet has a 10.1-inch (1280×800) wide TFT LED backlit glossy LCD capacitive display with 10-finger multi-touch support and two cameras – 2MP front and 5MP rear (with autofocus).
NEC updates its LifeTouch line with a 7-inch LT-B Android tablet in Japan
NEC updated its LifeTouch line with a 7-inch LT-B Android tablet (Cloud Communicator) in Japan.

A few days ago, NEC (Japan) launched its LifeTouch B (LT-B) – a slim and stylish, new business oriented tablet with a variety of features, including battery switching (users can carry multiple backup batteries for long-time use while away from the office), business security functions and water resistance. The LT-B features a stylish new design with a flat casing that is 20% smaller than existing models (LT).
The NEC LT-B tablet comes with a 7-inch (800×480) WVGA glossy TFT display, powered by a high-speed power-saving 1GHz TI OMAP4430 dual-core processor, 4GB of storage and 512MB of memory. It is also equipped with a 5MP high-resolution auto-focus camera, WiFi IEEE802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth V3.0, 3000mAh (replaceable battery) and a card reader (up to 32GB).
NEC LifeTouch B is loaded with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, supports Adobe Flash content and weighs approximately 400g.
Samsung launches and announces availability of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 in the US
Yesterday, SAMSUNG launched and announced availability of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 along with the Galaxy Player 5.0 and 4.0. for the U.S. 
The Galaxy Tab 8.9 is the thinnest mobile tablets currently available in the U.S. market, measuring just 8.6 millimeters. The tablet has a 1.5GHz T250S dual-core processor, powering its 8.9-inch (1280×800) WXGA TFT display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. The tablet includes a 6100mAh battery for hours of entertainment and weighs less than one pound (447g).
NEC introduces its 7-inch Android 2.2 LifeTouch Security Pack business tablet in Japan
NEC introduced its 7-inch Android 2.2 (Froyo) LifeTouch (CloudCommunicator) Security-Packed business tablet in Japan.

The LifeTouch Security Pack tablet has various security features:
Protection against loss (Anti-Lost)
- Setting Password Policy settings (to prevent users with easy passwords)
- Local wipe feature (built-in Erase Data over a set number of password inputs)
- Support to prevent data loss from the SD Memory Card (data encryption)
Prevention of unauthorized use
- Security administration (Change terminal settings by limiting the use of the tablet)
- Device Restrictions (capability to restrict use of devices such as Bluetooth and cameras banned by the admin)
- Log management (research and exploiting failure of the user operations)
- Installing the application control (limits on the use of unrelated business apps)
Also, the tablet comes with McAfee Mobile Security (30-day trial), which provides additional virus protection, and enhanced network security (VPN and corporate network security, IP address filtering).

Camangi is going to introduce another two-“Third Generation tablets” -The Baobob Series.

We were informed (unofficial info-leak) that Camangi is planning to launch another two Android 3.2 Honeycomb tablets called Baobob 7 (7-inch) and Baobob 10 (10.1-inch) with WiFi and 3G (optional). The tablets will be powered by 1GHz (Dual Core) Nvidia tegra 2 (T20) Cortex A9 processor, 1GB of DDR2 (400MHz) memory and 8GB/16GB/32GB eMMC NAND Flash internal storage. The 7-inch (16:10) and 10.1-inch (16:10) capacitive multi-touch (10-finger) LCDs will have resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and Gesture support.
The Baobob 7 will come with a 4000 mAh Li-Polymer battery, weighing just 355g and will hold on a single charge approximately for 7 hours. While the Baobob 10 will be with a 6700 mAh Li-Polymer battery and will weigh about 650g (30g less than Asus’s Eee Pad Transformer TF101).

Sharp and eAccess (EMOBILE-Japanese broadband provider) released Japan’s first Android 3.2 Tablet – the 7-inch GALAPAGOS A01SH.
The GALAPAGOS A01SH tablet (Wi-Fi model) is equipped with 7-inch high-definition display and has a compact and lightweight Aluminum body. It’s powered by NVIDIA Tegra 2 Dual-core CPU and runs Android 3.2 Honeycomb. The tablet has 8Gb of storage (expandable to 32GB through card reader), 1GB RAM and weighs just 389g. Its battery life is about 7.5 hours (depending on use).
