Samsung finally announces Chromebook Series 5 in South Korea
After appearing in the US and Europe, Samsung finally announced its Chromebook Series 5 in South Korea.

The Samsung Chromebook is an Atom powered netbook loaded with Google’s Chrome OS, with a fast up-to 10 seconds boot-up and immediate resuming from sleep mode. Thanks to Google’s intuitive UI, the machine combines fast boot speeds, long battery life, lighter weight and powerful technology for browsing the Web. In addition, you can download a variety of Web (around 29,000) applications (Apps, extensions and themes), available in the Chrome Web Store.

The Acer AC700 ultraportable delivers blazing boot times and instant access to the Internet. The first in a planned line of products that uses Google’s Chrome OS, the Acer AC700 Chromebook is ideal for savvy mobile consumers, which spend most of their time on the Internet.
Acer AC700 is powered by an Intel Atom N570 dual-core CPU and 2GB of DDR3 memory. It has a 16GB SSD drive, two USB 2.0 ports and a 4-in-1 card reader. The AC700 provides WiFi connectivity, a sleek thin and light form factor, long battery life and excellent HD playback.

The Series 5 comes with an Intel ATOM Processor N570, 2GB Standard System Memory and 16GB SSD (mSATA).
The 12.1-inch Super Bright display is both anti-reflective and anti-glare. The Series 5 display’s 300nit brightness and brings all forms of media alive in vibrant color.
The Series 5 weighs 3.3 lbs. and has a battery life of up to 8.5 hours, including five hours of video play for all-day use without the need to recharge (battery life will vary depending on the product model, configuration, power management settings). The Series 5 battery has a lifespan up to 1,000 cycles, three times longer than conventional batteries, which reduces the need for replacements.
