Sony Vaio VGN-FZ31ER (PCG-3A6P) notebook part numbers.
Recently, we had a Sony Vaio VGN-FZ31ER notebook with a problematic onboard Nvidia GeForce 8400M GT graphics card. The machine was not switching on, so we had to open it and send the motherboard for reballing the video chip (or replacing it with a new one).

A Lenovo ThinkPad T61 notebook was brought at Laptoport, with a “fan error” problem.
When this Lenovo ThinkPad T61 notebook is switched on, it beeps two times, after displays a “fan error” (faulty fan), then beeps again and shuts down. We’ve already opened that notebook and cleaned its non-spinning fan, but that did not fix the error (photos of our first opening and clean-up are published in – Part 1). So, we’ve ordered a compatible replacement part (MCF-216PAM05, 42W2463, 42W2462/ MCF-217PAM05, 42W2461, 42W2460).
