Panasonic to showcase its 10.1-inch TOUGHPAD FZ-A1 rugged tablet in Japan

Panasonic will showcase its 10.1-inch TOUGHPAD FZ-A1 rugged tablet at the Tokyo Big Sight – Tokyo International Exhibition Center, in Japan (tomorrow).

 

 

The TOUGHPAD FZ-A1 rugged tablet is Panasonic’s new entry in the business oriented tablet sector. The slate is packed with premium security features like FIPS 140-X Level 2, which is adding requirements for physical tamper-evidence and role-based authentication – System On a Chip (SoC), and offers the most rugged, reliable and enterprise-appropriate tablet experience developed especially for business users.

Panasonic announces its 7 and 10.1-inch BizPad Android 3.2 Honeycomb rugged tablets in Japan

A few days ago, Panasonic announced its 7-inch and 10.1-inch BizPad Android 3.2 Honeycomb rugged tablets for the Japanese market.

 

 

Both tablet models are aimed at business users and will be available only in Japan.

Panasonic’s BizPad 7 tablet (JT-H580VT) comes with a 7-inch (1024 × 600) WSVGA resistive touch LCD display and IC card reader/ writer – FeliCa supported (3G/GPRS), a 5MP camera, weighs 400g and its dimensions are 129mm × 197mm × 14mm.

The BizPad 10 tablet has a 10.1-inch (1280 × 800) WXGA IPS LCD capacitive touch panel with optional digitizer pen (sold separately). The device comes with a 1.3MP camera, weighs 700g and its dimensions are 263mm × 180mm × 14mm.

Asus announces availability of its 12-inch ASUS Eee Slate B121 Business tablet with Windows 7 Professional in Germany and Austria

The 12-inch ultrapowerful ASUS Eee Slate B121 Business tablet with TPM module and Windows 7 Professional 64-bit is now available in Germany and Austrian stores.

Lenovo 10.1-inch ThinkPad Tablet available in the US

Lenovo 10.1-inch ThinkPad Tablet now is available through Business Partners and Online. Also, Seton Hall University will be the first educational institution to deploy the ThinkPad Tablet when 350 students begin using it this fall.

Unlike other tablets on the market, the 10.1-inch, Android 3.1 ThinkPad Tablet lets business users do more right out of the box, from working productively and securely to enjoying first-class entertainment features during downtime. 

The ThinkPad Tablet caters to the extremely busy, mobile user with convenient features unlike competitor tablets for on the run computing, including an:

  • optional digitizer pen
  • full-size USB port
  • full-size SD card slot
  • mini-HDMI for connecting to external displays
  • keyboard folio case with optical TrackPoint

This fall, 350 students and faculty at Seton Hall University (South Orange, N.J.) will put the ThinkPad Tablet to the test by using it inside and outside the classroom. They will take advantage of the “true” pen experience, ActiveSync, IPS display and Gorilla Glass construction.

Lenovo announces IdeaPad Tablet K1 and ThinkPad Tablet for Japan

Today, Lenovo announced IdeaPad Tablet K1 (32GB) and ThinkPad Tablet (16GB/32GB/64GB) for the Japanese market.

Lenovo Corporation (Tokyo, Japan) announced the launch dates of the IdeaPad Tablet K1 and ThinkPad Tablet . The two tablets have 10.1-inch (1280×800) glossy, multi-touch screens, 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 Dual Core ARM Cortex-A9 processor, 1GB of DDR2 memory and plenty of ports (including HDMI and USB). The tablets are running Google Android 3.1 Honeycomb with Adobe Flash Player 10.3 support.
