Author: Yesterday, SAMSUNG launched and announced availability of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 along with the Galaxy Player 5.0 and 4.0. for the U.S. 
The Galaxy Tab 8.9 is the thinnest mobile tablets currently available in the U.S. market, measuring just 8.6 millimeters. The tablet has a 1.5GHz T250S dual-core processor, powering its 8.9-inch (1280×800) WXGA TFT display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. The tablet includes a 6100mAh battery for hours of entertainment and weighs less than one pound (447g).
