Kobo starts taking preorders for its new 7-inch Kobo Vox-Android 2.3 eReader

Yesterday, Kobo started taking preorders for its new 7-inch Kobo Vox (Vox Populi – in Latin – voice of the people) – Android 2.3 eReader/ tablet.

The social Kobo Vox eReader has a 7-inch AFFS+ multi-touch antiglare display with and +/ – 89 viewing angle. It is powered by 800MHz single core processor, 512MB memory, 8GB of storage space and a micro SD card reader, which can expand storage up to 32GB.

The device comes loaded with Android 2.3 Gingerbread and preloaded apps for magazines, newspapers, music, social networks, games, a dictionary, an app store, email and web browsing.

Eurocom Corporation, a developer of fully upgradeable notebooks has completed a round of benchmarking results in their flagship Panther 2.0 system using AMD’s newest Radeon HD 6990M GPU. In the round of testing the EUROCOM Panther 2.0 platform was tested with one HD 6990M GPU, two HD 6990M in CrossFireX, one HD 6990M (Overclocked) and two HD 6990M in CrossFireX (overclocked).  Read the rest of this entry »
