Toshiba REGZA AT700 just got lighter with 23g, after CES 2012 ended.

 

 

Toshiba REGZA AT700 (above) just got lighter with 23 grams, after the company introduced its new Excite X10 tablet at CES 2012, in Las Vegas.

A week ago, when Toshiba showed its new Excite X10 tablet at CES (for the US market), we thought that the company is exhibiting some radically hardware-upgraded model of its AT200 (which was introduced for the European market) or REGZA AT700 tablet (the Japanese version). At that time the Toshiba AT200 (in September, 2011) and the REGZA AT700 (in October, 2011) were weighing exactly 558g (below - screenshot of REGZA AT700, October, 2011).

Corning just uploaded an official video of its newest Gorilla Glass 2, which the company was exhibiting at CES 2012.

In the above lever press demonstration video, Corning tests and shows us (together with Microsoft) how ultra-thiner, tougher, damage resistant and more flexible is its next-generation Gorilla Glass 2 (compared to chemically strengthened Soda-lime glass and the company’s previous generation – Gorilla Glass).

Yesterday, Dell announced its XPS 13 Ultrabook at CES 2012 in Las Vegas.

 

 

 

 

 

At Intel’s keynote (at CES) Jeff Clarke, Dell’s vice chairman of Global Operations and End User Computing, announced DELL’s new XPS 13 Ultrabook.

The XPS 13 is powered by a second-generation Intel Core i5/ i7 ULV processors (the i5-2467M or i7-2637M), Intel HD3000 integrated graphics controller, 128 GB SSD or 256GB SSD drive, and 4GB of DDR3 1333MHz memory.

ASUS announced its 10.1-inch Eee Pad Transformer Prime – Android device.

 

 

The Prime finally came.

The Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime is the world’s first tablet to feature the world’s first quad-core mobile chip – the NVIDIA Tegra 3 Kal-El processor (with 5th companion core). Motorola launches its Motorola XOOM 2 and XOOM 2 Media Edition Wi-Fi tablets in UK and Ireland

Two days ago (November 3rd, 2011), Motorola launched its Motorola XOOM 2 and XOOM 2 Media Edition Wi-Fi tablets in UK and Ireland.

 

Motorola’s new Wi-Fi tablets XOOM 2 and XOOM 2 Media Edition are loaded with Android 3.2 Honeycomb and are powered by 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 1GB memory and 16GB of storage space. The tablets’ display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass and a splashguard coating (protection against spills). Both devices have 1.3 MP front and 5 MP rear-facing HD cameras with digital zoom, auto focus and LED flash.
