Today, Acer announced availability of its 13.3-inch Acer Aspire S3 Ultrabook in the US and Canada.

The Acer Aspire S3-951 Ultrabook powers on instantly and connects to the Web in seconds. The device provides up to 6 hours of battery life and in stand-by mode – about 50 days. The ultrabook has an ultra lightweight body and it’s slim and easy to carry around.
Acer’s Aspire S3 comes with a powerful Intel Core i5 (Sandy Bridge) Processor, 20GB of SSD storage (for OS files – which enhances it booting times) and USB and HDMI ports.

Acer presents the ultrathin TravelMate 8481
Yesterday, Acer presented its ultrathin TravelMate 8481 laptop – designed with a Magnesium-Aluminium cage and powered by a 2nd generation Intel Core CPU and Intel HD Graphics 3000. It is also available with discreet graphic options (NVIDIA Optimus). This laptop can be equipped with up to 8GB DDR3 memory, a standard 320 GB and a 64GB SSD (mSata), a combination that can boost the OS.

The laptop comes with 14.0-inch Acer ComfyView LCD LED backlit display, with HD (1366×768) resolution and a 16:9 aspect ratio offering clear visuals down to the latest detail.
The ultrathin design – only 2.2 cm (0.87-inches) at its highest point – combine with the ultralight weight, 1.5 kg (3.306 lbs.) with 4-cell battery pack to create an extremely portable system.
