Yesterday, Amrel (American Reliance, Inc) announced  the release of its new ROCKY line rugged laptop models.

 

 

 

 

The new RT9, RK9, and RF9 laptops are faster, more powerful, and more flexible than earlier AMREL models, and are perfect for the data-heavy applications used by the military and public safety sectors. 

The new ROCKY RT9, RK9, and RF9 models are powered by 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processors, Intel GM4500MHD (upgradeable), 2GB of DDR3 – 1066MHz (up to 8GB) memory and 320GB of SATA hard drives (upgradeable).

Panasonic unveiled its 10.1-inch Toughpad A1 and 7-inch Toughpad B1 “100% Fearless” rugged business tablets loaded with Android 3.2 Honeycomb.

 

 

The Panasonic Toughpad A1 comes with a 10.1-inch (1024×768) XGA (4:3), capacitive multi-touch display, powered by 1.2GHz Marvell Dual-Core processor, 1GB of LPDDR2 memory and 16GB of storage. The rugged tablet has plenty of ports including micro HDMI, micro-USB, micro SDHC (up to 32GB), and also offers Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, GPS and 4G LTE or WiMAX mobile broadband (optional).
