Dell Latitude ST slate tablet PC specs got confirmed.

 

 

The Latitude ST is Dell’s upcoming business tablet designed specifically for mobile professionals. The device is packed with management and security features, wireless network adapter and high-performing 3G antenna, mobile broadband (optional).

The Latitude ST is powered with Intel Atom Z670 processor, up to 128GB of Mobility Solid State drive and 2GB DDR2 (800 MHz) integrated SDRAM memory. It comes with a choice of OS Options – Windows 7 Home Premium 32-Bit, Windows 7 Professional 32-Bit, Windows 7 Ultimate 32-Bit.

Sharp discontinues its Android 2.3 5.5-inch and 10.8-inch Galapagos e-book tablets in Japan

Today, Sharp announced the discontinuing date of its 5.5-inch and 10.8-inch Galapagos e-book Android tablets in Japan. Sharp released the Android 2.3 update on 25th of July, this year and both tablets were supporting Flash Player 10.1.

The 5.5-inch Sharp Galapagos (EB-W51GJ-R/ EB-W51GJ-S) and 10.8-inch Sharp Galapagos (EB-WX1GJ-B) e-book tablets are still selling in Japan. The 5.5-inch (1024 x 600) Galapagos comes in two colors – red and silver and weighs just 220g, while the 10.8-inch (1366 x 800) model comes in silver and weighs approximately 765g. Both tablets have a TFT LED backlit LCD with touch screen capabilities, Compliant IEEE802.11b/g WiFi, microSD (micro SDHC up to 32GB) card reader, mono speaker, mini USB and a power Trackball (5.5-inch tablet only).

Sharp will release Android 2.3 update for its 5.5-inch Galapagos (EB-W51GJ-R/ EB-W51GJ-S) and 10.8-inch Galapagos (EB-WX1GJ-B) e-book tablets, which are still available only in Japan. 

The system update will make possible the use of Flash Player 10.1 and some other minor improvements. There is not much info about the specs of Galapagos e-book/newspaper readers in Sharp’s (Japanese) website.
