MLW Telecom and Telkom Indonesia launched SpeedUp Pad Ice tablet in Indonesia.

 

Today, MIPS Technologies, Inc. announced that together with MLW Telecom and MIPS licensee Ingenic Semiconductor are introducing the SpeedUp Pad Ice – a MIPS-Based Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) tablet to the Indonesian market.

India gets ViewSonic ViewPad 10s Android 2.2 tablet for 350 USD

India gets ViewSonic’s ViewPad 10s tablet, running Android 2.2 (Froyo) for $350 USD.

 

 

The ViewPad 10s tablet has a 10.1-inch (1024 x 600) capacitive multi-touch LED backlit display (200nits). It is powered by 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 250 SMP dual Cortex-A9 processor, 512MB of DDR2 (667MHz) memory and 512MB NAND Flash storage.

Pantech applies patents for its waterproof Pantech Element LTE

Pantech applies for patents for its waterproof Pantech Element P4100 (AT&T) LTE tablet.

 

 

 

Today, Pantech announced that has already completed a patent application in Korea, for its waterproof technology used in the Pantech Element P4100 (AT&T) LTE tablet.

The Pantech Element P4100 LTE (4G) runs Android 3.2 (Honeycomb) and comes with an 8-inch XGA (1024 x 768) TFT capacitive multi-touch display. It is powered by 1.5GHz APQ 8060 Qualcomm (S3) dual–core processor and 16GB of storage (which can be expanded up to 32GB via the microSD card slot). The tablet also has a SIM slot, two cameras (2MP front-facing and a rear 5MP with flash and 4x digital zoom), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v2.1 + EDR, micro USB and micro HDMI port.

Two days ago, GIGABYTE uploaded an official unboxing video of its latest BookTop T1132, a 3-in-1 device that transforms into a notebook, a tablet and a desktop PC. 

The BookTop T1132 is powered by an Intel Core i5 processor. It has an 11.6-inch (1366 x 768) capacitive multi-touch display (180-degree rotable screen), Nvidia GeForce graphics, up to 4GB of memory, and up to 750GB hard drive.

ARCHOS unveiled its ARCHOS 70b – a low-cost 7-inch Android 3.2 tablet.

 

 

Two days ago, ARCHOS announced the prices and availability of its low-cost Android 3.2 Honeycomb internet tablet. 

The ARCHOS 70b tablet comes with a 7-inch (1024 x 600) capacitive multi-touch screen, which is powered by a 1.2GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor, 3D graphics, 512MB memory and 32GB of storage space (expandable to additional 32GB via the micro SD card reader). The tablet has a front facing camera, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v2.1 and includes plenty of apps – Google Calendar, Google Maps, Google Talk, video chat, YouTube and access to the Android Market. It also offers a mini HDMI port through which the user can connect a monitor or a TV.

Elonex announces its eTouch Android tablet for £99

Elonex announced its eTouch Android tablet for £99.

Yesterday, Elonex (ElonexOfficial) uploaded the above video, advertising an eTouch Android tablet for £99. The tablet model is not specified, nor is the Android version (in Elonex’s announcement). It’s just written, that the “all-new eTouch” tablet comes with a “capacitive multi-touch” screen, and is offered “from only £99”, and “Visit you local Toys R Us to find out more”. 

Under the video it’s written – “Introducing the all-new Elonex eTouch 765ET and 1012ET”, but it is not clear which one is the £99 GBP ($155 USD) tablet. 

At the UK site of Toys R Us, there is the 7-incher, which is offered for £99.99 GPB, and comes with a “7” LED resistive touchscreen”, which is different from the announced capacitive one.

FIC announces its new 10.1-inch Tycoon+ TKE00 Windows 7 tablet

Yesterday, FIC (First International Computer) announced its new 10.1-inch Tycoon+ TKE00 Windows 7 tablet PC.

 

 

The Tycoon+ TKE00 business tablet is powered by 1.5GHz – Intel’s latest Atom Z670 processor “Oak Trail” (launched by Intel in Q2, 2011), 2GB of DDR2 (on board) memory and 32GB/ 120GB of SSD storage (1.8-inch micro SATA). The device is also equipped with a 10-inch (1024 x 600) wide capacitive multi-touch display (2 finger support), 2MP front camera, 3.5G (optional), 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth.

FIC’s Tycoon+ TKE00 comes with two USB 2.0 ports, SIM card slot, Mic, Headphones and a Mini Card Socket (Half Card). It weighs 850g with its embedded 3800mAh Polymer battery and runs Windows 7 Home Premium.
