ASUS announces the launch of its 10.1-inch Eee PC X101 slim Atom netbook

Author: ASUS announced the launch of its 10.1-inch Eee PC X101 slim Atom netbook or “the World’s Thinnest and Lightest Netbook” (as advertised by ASUS).
The ASUS Eee PC X101 netbook (announced earlier this year at Computex) features the latest Intel Atom N435 processor with 1GB of DDR3 RAM, 2x USB 2.0, MicroSD Card reader, built-in webcam and 8GB of SSD storage. It has a super thin 17.6mm profile and weighs just 920g.
ASUS Super Hybrid Engine (SHE) technology is also built-in to conserve battery life. The X101 is available with a seamless chiclet keyboard, comfortable large touchpad and in various colors including white, black, brown and red. Its battery life is about 4 hours (depending on use).

FRONTIER launches 10.1-inch atom tablet with Android 2.2 or Windows 7 in Japan
FRONTIER launched 10.1-inch atom tablet with Android 2.2 or Windows 7 for the Japanese market.
The Intel Atom N455 tablet comes in two model variations, meeting different customer needs and requirements, a cheaper one with Android 2.2 Froyo (model FT102-16) and with windows 7 (model FT102-32).
It can also be used as a netbook, by connecting a wireless keyboard and adjusting its body side arm, achieving a PC usability. For faster OS and application startup, the tablet comes with an SSD drive of 16GB or 32GB (depends on model). It’s equipped with a 1.3M WEB camera and a standard voice recorder, for taking notes on important meetings or hearings. FRONTIER tablet’s battery life is about 3.5 hours (depending on use), but can hold up to 8 hours by an extended battery (optional).

Ekoore released 3 new tablets-Perl and Python with Ubuntu Linux or Windows 7 and Pascal with Android 2.3
Recently, the Italian company Ekoore released 3 new tablets – Perl, Python and Pascal. The devices are offered with Ubuntu Linux, Windows or Android OS.
Ekoore Perl is a 11.6-inch (1366×768) multitouch capacitive screen tablet with G-sensor. It comes with a choice of Ubuntu Linux or Windows 7 and is powered by 1.66MHz CPU, 2GB of RAM and has a 64GB SSD drive, WiFi, Bluetooth and an HDMI port. It is only 14mm thick (295 x 14 x 195) and weights around 1Kg with battery included. When, there are no available wireless spots, you can insert an SIM card inside a special slot and simply connect to the Internet.

Lenovo released IdeaPad S100 in Japan
Lenovo released IdeaPad S100 netbook for the Japanese market.
The 10.1-inch netbook IdeaPad S100 is equipped with Intel Atom N455 CPU. Its thinnest thickness is 16.0mm, and weighs about 1.1kg. The machine comes in two colors – black or white, giving a luxurious look and style to the product.
IdeaPad S100 has a quick start button (QS) on the left of the LCD screen. By pressing it the netbook starts Lenovo’s own QuickStart OS, which is a Linux based operating system can start in 10 seconds and allow users to run applications.
TESO Tablet Zpad Z10 and Tpad T10 announced at COMPUTEX
TESO EPC CO. LTD. launched its latest INTEL OakTrail Z670 products – Zpad Z10 and Tpad T10 at Taipei International Computer Show. The company also exhibited its Tablet PC line of products – Gpad G97, Lpad L10 and Teso P10 with INTEL Atom N455 CPU.
Both devices have 10.1-inch capacitive touch screen and built-in GPS navigation. They supports 1080P high definition video. The machines run dual system – WINDOWS 7 and Android 3.0 (upgradable to Android 3.1) and can also be pre-installed with MeeGo. The TESO T10 has the ultra-thin design and thickness almost equal to IPAD. This is a rare quality of the X86 Tablet, which officially will began to ship in mid June this year. Asus releases Eee PC 1015PX and Eee PC 1011PX in Japan
Today Asus releases Eee PC 1015PX and Eee PC 1011PX in Japan.
Both Models are loaded with Windows 7 Starter SP1 (already applied). They come in two different colors – Black & White. The netbooks have 10.1-inch wide TFT color LCD (LED Backlight) display (1024 × 600 WSVGA), 1GB memory and 250GB HDD, WiFi, USB 2.0 × 3 and an external display output.
The Eee PC 1015PX has a WiMAX module and is powered by an Intel Atom N570 CPU. It comes with a 2 years license of Microsoft Office Personal 2010. Its battery life is up-to 8.7 hours and weighs about 1.25kg. The white model will be released on May 28, 2011 (Sat), while the black in mid-June 2011. It will be sold for 39,800 yen (tax included).
