Samsung launched its powerful gaming notebook – the Series 7 GAMER – in the UK.

The Samsung Series 7 GAMER is powered by a quad-core Intel Core i7 processor, the most powerful graphics card currently available – the AMD Radeon HD 6970M (with 2GB GDDR5 VRAM), and 8GB ExpressCache plus the hard drive storage of  up to 1.5TB. It is equipped with an optional 3D (with Bluetooth-enabled active shuttering 3D glasses) 17.3-inch (1920 x 1080) Full HD display and the latest 3D surround sound.

The GAMER comes with a Blu-ray drive, 2MP webcam, WiFi, Bluetooth v3.0, an HDMI port and two USB 3.0 ports. It has four optimization modes – ‘Gaming’ mode, ‘Balanced’ mode’, ‘Library’ (for quiet surroundings), and ‘Green’ (a battery saver mode). The machine is loaded with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS.

Two days ago (November 3rd, 2011), Motorola launched its Motorola XOOM 2 and XOOM 2 Media Edition Wi-Fi tablets in UK and Ireland.

Motorola’s new Wi-Fi tablets XOOM 2 and XOOM 2 Media Edition are loaded with Android 3.2 Honeycomb and are powered by 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 1GB memory and 16GB of storage space. The tablets’ display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass and a splashguard coating (protection against spills). Both devices have 1.3 MP front and 5 MP rear-facing HD cameras with digital zoom, auto focus and LED flash.

ASUS announced availability of its ZENBOOK with 128GB SSD in the UK.

ASUS’s will offer its ZENBOOK UX21 and UX31 Ultrabook with a 128GB of SSD storage in the UK.

The ZENBOOK UX21 has the same specs equivalent to the UX21E-DH52 US model – Intel Core i5-2467M processor, 11.6-inch HD (1366 x 768) LCD display and 128GB of SSD.

The UK model of Asus ZENBOOK UX31 is alike the UX31E-DH72 US model – Intel Core i7-2677M processor and 13.3-inch HD+ (1600 x 900) display, except the SSD capacity which is set to 128GB.

Recently, ASUS announced the availability of its 10.1-inch Eee PC 1011PX and Eee PC 1015PX in the UK through Amazon UK and PC World. 

Both netbooks have a 10.1-inch (1024×600) LED backlit screen, which displays crisp and vivid graphics in a portable form factor. The machines are coming in a stylish seashell design that’s easily distinguishable with a unique wave pattern texture (Eee PC 1011PX – Texture: Black, White) or in various matte or glossy colors (Eee PC 1015PX – Matte: Black, Blue, Red, White and Glossy: Black, Red, and White).
