Onkyo launches its 14-inch R6 Series notebook with an optical drive in Japan

Author: On November 16th, 2011, Onkyo launched its 14-inch R6 (retail model) and DR6 (3 – direct sales models) notebook with an optical drive, for the Japanese market.
Onkyo’s new R6 Series (R6A-BS25C7D) ultra-slim notebook is powered by 2.20GHz second-gen Intel Core i7-2670QM Quad Core processor (Sandy Bridge). The CPU was launched by Intel recently (Q4, 2011), and when using Turbo Boost 2.0, can go up to 3.10GHz (supports Intel Hyper-Threading Technology and has 6MB of Intel Smart Cache).
The Onkyo R6 comes with a 14.0-inch (1366 × 768) TFT LED backlit glossy LCD display, Intel HD Graphics 3000, 8GB of DDR3 memory working in dual channel, a 500GB hard drive and an optical drive.
