ASUS announced the launch of its 17.3-inch ROG (Republic of Gamers) G74Sx Gaming Notebook in the United Kingdom.
ASUS ROG G74Sx is the fourth generation of the powerful G-Series notebooks. The gaming notebook comes with a second generation Intel Core i7 (Sandy Bridge) CPU and NVIDIA GTX 560M GPU with 3GB GDDR5 VRAM. The G74Sx also has up to 16GB of DDR3 memory and delivers a spectacular gaming and multimedia visuals (supports DirectX11) in a sleek and portable design.
Computex 2011 – the annual technology expo in Taipei, Taiwan—is one of the top three IT events in the world and is held from May 31 to June 5. It attracted over 1800 exhibitors who share over 5200 booths between them, split between three halls in the Xinyi district of Taipei and the exhibition hall in the Nangang district. Attendees of COMPUTEX 2011 have an unprecedented opportunity to hear from industry visionaries and see public technology demonstrations.

MSI is also showing the latest stylish notebooks from the C-series and the new G-Series machines aimed at the mobile gamers and variety of tablet models including its new generation WindPad Series tablet. The G Series 17.3-inch GT780 and 15.6-inch GT683R gaming laptops shown at Computex 2011 feature Intel’s second gen Core i7 quad core processor, nVidia’s new generation top end discrete graphics card, and MSI’s own TDE overclocking technology. MSI will be parading its impressive R&D capabilities as it displays four major laptop series.
One day ago, Asus announced its new Summer 2011 laptop models for the Japanese market.
The nine new laptops are:
- Seven variations of K53E, which come in seven different colors and hardware configurations, packed with Intel’s second gen Sandy Bridge processors.
- The G73SW is a gamers and entertainment notebook with the ROG logo (Republic of Gamers).
- Hear the beat of sensibility with the NX90SN – a result of Asus and Bang & Olufsen collaboration.
