Samsung launches its second-gen Series 9 notebooks in S.Korea

Today, Samsung announced the official launch of its new second-generation Series 9 notebooks in South Korea.

 

 

Samsung Electronics held a domestic Series 9 notebook media launch event, at the D’light hall in Seocho-dong, in Seoul, South Korea.

The luxury second-generation Series 9 notebook is offered with a 13-inch or a 15-inch display in a Mineral ash black color. The ultra-slim and compact-sized Samsung Series 9 comes with a Single Shell “Aero Dynamic” body design. The 13-inch model is just 12.9mm (0.5 inch) thin and weighs 1.16kg (2.56 lbs), while the 15-incher is 14.9mm (0.58 inch) thin, weighing 1.59kg (3.5 lbs) and offers up to 10 hours of battery life on a single charge.

Samsung announces launch of Galaxy Note White tabletphone in UK

Two days ago, Samsung announced the launch of its Galaxy Note White tabletphone in the United Kingdom.

 

 

Samsung launched its black Galaxy Note in the United Kingdom back in November, 2011, and now the company offers its UK clientele the chance to purchase the tabletphone in white – from John Lewis on Oxford Street London, from January 23rd, 2012 (from tomorrow).

ZTE announced the Global Launch of its 7-inch HD Light Tab 2 tablet

Today, ZTE Corporation (Shenzhen, China) announced the global launch (twitted about an hour ago) of its second-generation ZTE Light Tab 2 tablet in Hong Kong, Spain and Indonesia. The global launch will continue in Europe, France, U.K. and in Asia in Malaysia from early 2012.

The Light Tab 2 is 12.6mm thin, and is equipped with a 7-inch (1024 x 600) WSVGA HD TFT display, powered by 1.4GHz Qualcomm single core processor, 4GB of storage space and 512MB of memory. It comes with two cameras onboard, a 0.3MP CMOS front-facing camera and a 3MP rear camera with autofocus and 1.6x digital zoom. The tablet also supports Dolby surround sound and video playback formats including H.264, MPEG4 (720p) and Flash.

ASUS UK tweets Amazon UK gone live-Prime finally comes to UK

ASUS UK tweeted Amazon UK has gone live – Transformer Prime will finally come to the United Kingdom.

 

 

A few hours ago, AsusUK tweeted “Amazon.co.uk have gone live with their Transformer Prime pre-order page”. So, those lucky ones of you who live in the UK will have the chance to pre-order one in time for Christmas, and get the Prime on January 12th, 2012 (sadly, Santa will delay not only in the UK). 

The Eee Pad Transformer Prime is the first tablet featuring Tegra 3 (Kal-El) quad-core processor (with a fifth – companion core). Asus did an exceptional tablet, which operates at exceptionally low power, and is also the most powerful one, now days.

Asus uploaded official photos of Transformer Prime vs Zenbook UX21.

 

 

 

Asus just uploaded on Facebook, nine photos of its latest Android and Ultrabook devices – cheek to cheek, the Eee Pad Transformer Prime vs Zenbook UX21

Both devices look incredible next to each other and their appearance too. The Prime is a bit thicker, but let’s not forget that it’s a two-in-one device and is not called an Ultrabook. It will be interesting to see how the rumored upcoming Ultrabook of Asus (with its swivel-screen) will look next to the Zenbook. But for now we will have to wait till next year, hopefully at CES in Las Vegas.

Samsung Series 7 GAMER-gaming notebook launched in the UK

Samsung launched its powerful gaming notebook – the Series 7 GAMER – in the UK.

 

 

The Samsung Series 7 GAMER is powered by a quad-core Intel Core i7 processor, the most powerful graphics card currently available – the AMD Radeon HD 6970M (with 2GB GDDR5 VRAM), and 8GB ExpressCache plus the hard drive storage of  up to 1.5TB. It is equipped with an optional 3D (with Bluetooth-enabled active shuttering 3D glasses) 17.3-inch (1920 x 1080) Full HD display and the latest 3D surround sound.

The GAMER comes with a Blu-ray drive, 2MP webcam, WiFi, Bluetooth v3.0, an HDMI port and two USB 3.0 ports. It has four optimization modes – ‘Gaming’ mode, ‘Balanced’ mode’, ‘Library’ (for quiet surroundings), and ‘Green’ (a battery saver mode). The machine is loaded with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS.
