On November 16th, 2011, Sharp announced its 7-inch Galapagos EB-A71GJ-B Media Tablet in Japan.
Sharp’s new Galapagos EB-A71GJ-B media tablet has a NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual core processor, under the hood. It is equipped with a 7-inch (1024×600) WSVGA TFT LED backlit capacitive multi-touch display, 1GB of memory and 8GB of storage, which can be expanded via its card reader (up to 32GB).

Panasonic will showcase its 10.1-inch TOUGHPAD FZ-A1 rugged tablet at the Tokyo Big Sight – Tokyo International Exhibition Center, in Japan (tomorrow).

The TOUGHPAD FZ-A1 rugged tablet is Panasonic’s new entry in the business oriented tablet sector. The slate is packed with premium security features like FIPS 140-X Level 2, which is adding requirements for physical tamper-evidence and role-based authentication – System On a Chip (SoC), and offers the most rugged, reliable and enterprise-appropriate tablet experience developed especially for business users.

Mouse Computer launched its new 11.6-inch LuvBook S-Series notebook line in Japan.

The S-series notebook comes in three colors (Red, Blue and Silver) and seven different configurations, including one model with a 320GB HDD, three models with 500GB hard drives and three models with 80GB SSD drive. All models are powered by Intel’s Sandy Bridge Dual-Core processors (Intel Core i7-2640M, i5-2430M, i3-2310M/ i3-2330M and Celeron B800) and up to 8GB of PC3-10600 DDR3 memory.

Today, Lenovo (Tokyo-based) presented its new 11.6-inch ThinkPad X121e notebook for the Japanese market.

Powered by second-generation Intel Core i-Series or AMD’s Fusion APU (Accelerated Processing Unit), the X121e can work on a single charge up to 8.2 hours (with 6-cell Li-Ion battery installed). Lenovo announced ThinkPad X1, X220, X220i, T420s and T420i for the Japanese market.
