However, it is true that Chromebooks are often stingy when it comes to storage space. We feel cramped with only 32 GB of which 27 are actually available because of the space taken by Chrome OS. Fortunately, it is often possible to enlarge it using a micro-SD card.

RAM is also a consideration for people who like to juggle apps and open multiple tabs in Chrome. The more you have, the more comfortable you will be. But 4 GB is the union minimum to have.

Do you still need the internet to use a Chromebook?

HuffPost had tested the Pixel, Google's top-of-the-line Chromebook, in the past. It was back in the days when you couldn't use Chromebooks without an internet connection.

This issue has since been resolved. If you are writing a document in Google Docs, for example, you will be able to make a local backup. The update of your document in Drive will take place when you have access to the internet again.

The same goes for other applications that you will already have installed on your machine.

Chromebooks don't have a lot of internal memory, that's a fact. The solution to avoid being cramped is to opt for an internal memory card or to use Google Drive, the online storage service of the American giant.
