Packard Bell EasyNote TJ71 with a graphics problem

Packard Bell EasyNote TJ71 with a VGA problem – ATI Radeon HD 4200.

Recently we had a Packard Bell EasyNote TJ71 notebook brought to us with a graphics issue. When switched on, the machine was demonstrating that it’s powered (with its blue power indicator which lights up), but that’s all.

The Packard Bell EasyNote TJ71 (Model No: MS2285) is equipped with a 15.6-inch display powered by an ATI Radeon HD 4200 graphics, AMD Athlon M320 X2 (2.1GHz) CPU, 4GB of Samsung (M470T5663EH3-CF7) PC2-6400 memory, and a 500GB hard drive. The notebook runs on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

This notebook is also alike the Gateway NV53 (NV5302u) – externally and internally (same mobo, same parts).

The notebook was disassembled and motherboard was sent for reballing the VGA chip. Below in the gallery you will find all taken photos – for reference and part numbers.
