Asus announced additional Spring 2012 notebook and netbook models for the Japanese market.
The additional Asus models for Spring 2012 include – the 11.6-inch Asus Hot Pink Zenbook UX21E, the 17.3-inch K73SD notebook, Eee PC 1025C/ Eee PC 1025CE (the Flare Series), Eee PC 1225B, and the low-cost Eee PC X101CH netbook model.
ASUS quietly announced its 11.6-inch Eee PC 1225B – AMD powered netbook.
It seems that Asus is not going to abandon its Eee PC category soon, and that got confirmed when the company uploaded a product page of its updated Eee PC 1225B AMD based netbook model.
This 11.6-incher is powered by the latest AMD Brazos dual core APUs – AMD Fusion APU E450 running at 1.65GHz or C60 at 1.0GHz and up to 1.33GHz under AMD Turbo Core Tech. In addition the machine comes with AMD Radeon HD 6320/ AMD Radeon HD 6290, up to 4GB of DDR3 memory (from which 2GB is onboard) and up to 750GB hard drive.
ASUS announced its 12.1-inch Eee PC 1215B in a new RED color for the Japanese market, which will be available in mid-September, this year.
Asus added a new RED color to its The Eee PC 1215B netbook, in addition to the current black and silver products.
The ASUS Eee PC 1215B netbook is based on the AMD Brazos platform and features the new dual-core E-350 + AMD Radeon HD 6310 graphics Fusion APU. The Accelerated Processing Unit enables visually rich, enhanced PC experiences even on small form factor devices.
Recently, ASUS announced the availability of its 10.1-inch Eee PC 1011PX and Eee PC 1015PX in the UK through Amazon UK and PC World.
Both netbooks have a 10.1-inch (1024×600) LED backlit screen, which displays crisp and vivid graphics in a portable form factor. The machines are coming in a stylish seashell design that’s easily distinguishable with a unique wave pattern texture (Eee PC 1011PX – Texture: Black, White) or in various matte or glossy colors (Eee PC 1015PX – Matte: Black, Blue, Red, White and Glossy: Black, Red, and White).
ASUS announced the launch of its 10.1-inch Eee PC X101 slim Atom netbook or “the World’s Thinnest and Lightest Netbook” (as advertised by ASUS).
The ASUS Eee PC X101 netbook (announced earlier this year at Computex) features the latest Intel Atom N435 processor with 1GB of DDR3 RAM, 2x USB 2.0, MicroSD Card reader, built-in webcam and 8GB of SSD storage. It has a super thin 17.6mm profile and weighs just 920g.
ASUS Super Hybrid Engine (SHE) technology is also built-in to conserve battery life. The X101 is available with a seamless chiclet keyboard, comfortable large touchpad and in various colors including white, black, brown and red. Its battery life is about 4 hours (depending on use).
ASUS launched its ultra-portable U36 notebook in the UK, priced at £699 inc VAT.
The U36 notebook is the thinnest laptop with an Intel Core i5 standard voltage CPU. With chassis, only 19mm thick (made from lightweight magnesium alloy with nanometer coating) and weighing only 1.44kg, the ASUS U36 delivers an incredible 11.5 hours battery life.
Today Asus renewed its thin UL20FT netbook with an i3 processor.
The 12.1-inch machine is light and with a long battery life. It comes in silver color and now is powered with an Intel Core i3-380UM ULV (ultra-low-voltage) CPU. With Asus’s Turbo Technology its performance can increases up-to 33 percent. The UL20FT is 25.1mm thin and weighs about 1.5kg. It also has an HDMI port, through which can be easily connected a large TV screen.
