Recently we had a Packard Bell EasyNote TJ71 notebook brought to us with a graphics issue. When switched on, the machine was demonstrating that it’s powered (with its blue power indicator which lights up), but that’s all.

Asus announced additional Spring 2012 notebook and netbook models for the Japanese market.

The additional Asus models for Spring 2012 include – the 11.6-inch Asus Hot Pink Zenbook UX21E, the 17.3-inch K73SD notebook, Eee PC 1025C/ Eee PC 1025CE (the Flare Series), Eee PC 1225B, and the low-cost Eee PC X101CH netbook model.

Acer offers its Aspire Timeline Ultra M3 ultrabook for $1384 USD, in Taiwan.

Acer introduced its Aspire Timeline Ultra at CES in Vegas, and now the company is showcasing its new Aspire M3 ultrabook, at CeBIT 2012, in Germany.
The Aspire Timeline Ultra M series ultrabook comes with a 14-inch or 15.6-inch display, powered by up to NVIDIA GeForce GT640M (with 1GB VRAM) graphics processor.
ASUS announces its Spring 2012 notebooks models for Japan
Yesterday, ASUS announced its Spring 2012 notebook models for the Japanese market.

The Asus ZENBOOK UX21E Rose Gold (UX21E-KXROSE) is powered by Intel Core i5-2467M processor, 4GB of memory and 128GB SSD. The 11.6-inch ultrabook is loaded with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS. It weighs 1.1kg and offers up to five and a half hours of battery life. The Rose Gold Ultrabook comes with a price of ¥94,800 Yen ($1236 USD).
Sony updates its VAIO notebook models for Spring 2012 in Japan
Today, Sony announced the updates of its VAIO notebook models for Spring 2012 in Japan. 
The VAIO S (SE) series got an upgrade with a 15.5-inch Full HD (1920 × 1080) IPS display with a wide viewing angle. Sony launches a new VPCSE28FJ/ S (Silver) model weighing 1.99kg and being 24.5mm thick.
The VPCSE29FJ/ B (Black) model’s CPU is now upgraded to the latest second-generation Intel Core i7-2640 processor, a Blu-ray Disk Drive and an optional 3D glasses-less attachable panel. Both model’s battery life can be extended from 6.5 to 13 hours, when connected to the extended sheet battery.
Acer releases its Aspire S Series Ultrabook with i7 and 240GB SSD in Japan
Acer will release its Aspire S Series Ultrabook with Intel Core i7 CPU and 240GB SSD in Japan. 
The Aspire S3-951-F74U comes with 1.7 GHz Intel Core i7-2637M processor, 4 GB of DDR3 1333MHz (PC3-10666) memory and a huge 240GB SSD drive. The device is equipped with a 13.3-inch (1366 × 786) WXGA TFT LED backlight display, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.0, Camera, HDMI port, two USB 2.0 ports and an SD card reader.
The Aspire S3-951-F74U wakes from sleep mode for under 1.5 seconds and from hibernation within 6 seconds. The Ultrabook weighs 1.33kg and is 13mm thick at its thinnest part, also has a 3260mAh lithium-ion battery, and can hold on a charge up to 7 hours running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
Lenovo U300s Ultrabook goes on sale before Christmas
Lenovo just twitted (about an hour ago), that its 13.3-inch IdeaPad U300s Ultrabook is now on sale, just before the Christmas holydays.

The IdeaPad U300s (10802AU) is equipped with 1.6GHz second-gen Intel Core i5-2467M Dual Core Processor, 4GB of DDR3 1333MHz (PC3-8500) memory and a 128GB SATA SSD drive. Its 13.3-inch (1366×768) HD Glare display is powered by the integrated Intel HD Graphics 3000.
The Ultrabook also comes with a 1.3MP Camera, HD Audio (Conexant CX20671), Sound SRS Premium Sound, Intel 1030 WiFi + Bluetooth (combo), USB 3.0, USB 2.0 and an HDMI port. The machine runs Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit and has a 4-Cell Li-Polymer battery. Lenovo offers its Ultrabook in two colors – Clementine Orange or Graphite Gray, and with One year warranty.
