Sony Vaio VPCM12M1E (PCG-21313M) netbook – damaged power jack replacement. Its center pin’s plastic was broken. The netbook was not charging, due to a bad contact with the adapter.

Recently a Sony Vaio M Series netbook was brought to us, with a damaged power jack. Its center pin’s plastic was broken – the machine was charging from time to time, due to a bad contact with the adapter.

Recently, we had a Toshiba Satellite L500-1D9 with an interesting problem. The notebook was not charging and switching on, due to a problematic power jack. Its center pin was pushed back inside the notebook, therefore it was not making contact at all.

When the PC is switched on its power light flashes for a second and then it does not power up.
It eventually came out that the user broke and damaged one of the rear USB ports.

This Compaq 6735s notebook was brought to us for service. The machine has not been cleaned up (internally) from the time it was purchased. Also, the owner was using a dual-fan cooling pad, which from one side has the ability to lower temperatures, but from another – drives more dust and dirt inside the notebook cooling system.

The user spilt a glass of wine on top of the keyboard and after disconnecting the battery he dried it with a hairdryer. The notebook appeared to be working.
