Lenovo offers 5GB of free Cloud storage when a Lenovo notebook or tablet is purchased.

 

The company announced that it joined forces with SugarSync, so as to offer integrated Cloud storage service to consumers purchasing a new Lenovo ThinkPad/ IdeaPad notebooks and Android tablets worldwide outside of China, starting April, this year.

Qualcomm and Koobe announce Next-Generation Jin Yong Reader

Yesterday, Qualcomm and Koobe announced the next-generation Jin Yong Reader with mirasol display technology.

The new Jin Yong Reader is equipped with a 5.7-inch XGA (1024 x 768) mirasol display with screen resolution of 223 ppi and 1 GHz Snapdragon S2 (APQ8055) Qualcomm processor. The e-reader runs Koobe’s custom UI on top of Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Read the rest of this entry »

Hyundai offers its A7 Android 4.0 tablet in China for just $79

Hyundai offers its new A7 Android 4.0 tablet in China for just $79 USD.

 

The car maker company Hyundai is lately jumping into the tablet segment, now offering its latest A7 tablet with Android 4.0 ICS in China.

The A7 tablet sports a 7-inch (800×480) display with five point touch support), powered by a 1.5 GHz ARM Cortex A10 processor, 512MB memory, 8GB of storage space and a Mali-400 GPU. It supports 1080p HD video playback, which can be shared via its HDMI port. In addition the tablet has a webcam and a MicroSD card reader. Bluetooth and GPS navigation are missing, but let’s not forget that it’s a low-cost tablet.

Qualcomm announces e-reader featuring mirasol display in Vegas

Qualcomm and Shanghai Nutshell announced in Las Vegas the first e-reader featuring mirasol display (for the Chinese market).

 

Today, Qualcomm and Shanghai Nutshell Electronic announced the Bambook Sunflower e-reader. The device comes with a 5.7-inch (1024 x 768) XGA mirasol display (223 ppi), which is powered by a 1.0 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S2 (APQ8055) processor. It is loaded with a custom UI on top of Android 2.3 (Gingerbread).

Acer announces its new Aspire S5 Ultrabook and Iconia Tab A700

Two hours ago, Acer announced its new Aspire S5 Ultrabook, a new service – AcerCloud, and its Iconia Tab A700 tablet, at CES in Las Vegas.

 

 

Chairman and CEO of Acer JT Wang opened the Press Conference, and said that “By Q2 this year, Acer will have four models of ultrabook.” and later added, “We already have Aspire S3, today you will see Aspire S5.”, and later, “The ultrabook is a mainstream train that cannot be stopped.” , and “When Windows 8 launches in the second half of this year, we’ll launch more ultrabooks for the new OS.” added Mr. JT Wang (photos of Mr. JT Wang, not included).

Asus releases its N45J Mystic Edition notebook designed by Jay Chou

Asus released its N45J Mystic Edition notebook, especially designed by Jay Chou.

 

 

ASUS N45J (J for Jay) notebook is the new special edition N Series, and the second notebook designed in collaboration between ASUS and actor (The Green Hornet), singer and songwriter Jay Chou. 

The N45J Mystic Edition is an upgraded version of the previous limited edition N43 notebook and is called “Mystic Edition” due to the connection of Jay Chou‘s new Exclamation Point album. The display lid is covered with art from the album, plus the singer’s signature. The notebook comes with SonicMaster technology co-developed with Bang & Olufsen ICEpower, and is bundled with an external subwoofer (just like the N43).

Ainol gets official with its new $79 USD 7-inch NOVO7 PALADIN tablet

 

 

Today, Ainol confirmed officially the price of its NOVO7 PALADIN tablet (which was announced quietly last week), and now the company is showing off its capabilities.

The NOVO7 PALADIN comes with a 7-inch (800×480) capacitive dual touch screen, powered by Ingenic’s JZ4770 ultra-low power 1GHz XBurst processor and Vivante GC860 graphics chip, which is capable of decoding HD video in 1080p. In addition it is equipped with 8GB of storage (for system files and data), 512MB of DDR2 memory, WiFi, Bluetooth and external support for 3G. The tablet runs Android 4.0.1 ICS and also got its Linux kernel updated to version 3.0.8.
