Sony launches its Tablet S and Tablet P in India

Sony launched its latest Sony Tablets in India.

 

 

Sony’s unique wedge-shaped Tablet S and the wallet-shaped Tablet P are now available in India. Both tablets are loaded with Android 3.2 Honeycomb and offer Swift & Smooth web browsing and engaging entertainment experience. 

Sony Tablets are the first PlayStation Certified tablets on which can be played games for PlayStation Certified devices including the preinstalled Crash Bandicoot and Pinball Heroes. Both Tablets can wirelessly connect to DLNA compatible devices, where users can share photos and videos on their TVs. A built-in infrared sensor also allows Sony Tablet S to function as a remote control for any number of devices, including TVs, stereos, and other devices.   Read the rest of this entry »

Sony announces that Music Unlimited is now available for the Android tablets

Sony announced that the Music Unlimited cloud-based, streaming digital music service is now available for the Android-based Sony Tablet and other Android tablets worldwide.

 

 

Sony’s Cloud-Based Music Service offers a global Catalogue of Over 10 million tracks. The release of the Music Unlimited service’s Unlimited Android v1.2 application (previously only available on compatible Android-based phones) adds Sony Tablet and other Android-based tablets to SNEI’s growing ecosystem. 

The Music Unlimited service operates in nine countries and has a global catalog of over 10 million tracks. It is available as a native app on Sony Tablet. For compatible Android phones and tablets, the Music Unlimited service v1.2 app is available for download from Android Market.

Adobe and Sony will provide new Android Apps for Sony Tablet S1 and S2

Adobe and Sony will provide new Android Apps for Sony Tablet S1 and S2. 

Adobe and Sony announced the ‘Adobe AIR App Challenge Sponsored by Sony’ to drive the creation of innovative Android applications for the two models of “Sony Tablet” and offer developers a chance to win $200,000 in total cash prizes.

Both companies will enable developers to tap into native device capabilities and combine Adobe Flash technology and HTML5 using Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 and the open source Flex framework. With support for Adobe AIR, developers will be able to deliver new application  experiences in addition to thousands of AIR applications already available on Android Market today.

Sony Announces S1 and S2 “Sony Tablet” with Android 3.0

Sony Corporation is developing two tablets based on decades of engineering heritage, including S1 (codename) – optimized for rich media entertainment and S2 (codename) – ideal for mobile communication and entertainment.

Both tablets are equipped with the latest Android 3.0(Honeycomb), WiFi and WAN (3G/4G) compatible. Users can browse the internet, check e-mails and can smoothly access digital content including videos, games and books. 

S1 has a 9.4inch display for enjoying the web and rich content on a large screen. Its off-center of gravity design realizes ease of grip as well as a sense of stability and lightness, offering comfortable use for hours.

S2 has 2x 5.5inch displays that can be folded for easy portability. The unprecedented dual screen presentation and usability allows its displays to be combined and used as a large screen or for different roles. Uers can watch a video on one screen and input commands on the other, or check e-mail on one screen and use the other as a soft keyboard.
