Ainol gets official with its new $79 USD 7-inch NOVO7 PALADIN tablet

 

 

Today, Ainol confirmed officially the price of its NOVO7 PALADIN tablet (which was announced quietly last week), and now the company is showing off its capabilities.

The NOVO7 PALADIN comes with a 7-inch (800×480) capacitive dual touch screen, powered by Ingenic’s JZ4770 ultra-low power 1GHz XBurst processor and Vivante GC860 graphics chip, which is capable of decoding HD video in 1080p. In addition it is equipped with 8GB of storage (for system files and data), 512MB of DDR2 memory, WiFi, Bluetooth and external support for 3G. The tablet runs Android 4.0.1 ICS and also got its Linux kernel updated to version 3.0.8.

Ainol releases quietly its new ICS 7-inch NOVO7 PALADIN tablet

A few days ago, Ainol released quietly another new ICS 7-inch tablet in China – NOVO7 PALADIN.

The NOVO7 PALADIN tablet model is powered by Ingenic’s JZ4770 SoC ultra-low power 1GHz XBurst processor (under MIPS architecture) and GC860 graphics chip, which is capable of decoding 1080p HD video. It comes with a 7-inch (800×480) capacitive two point touch (dual touch support) screen, 4GB/ 8GB of storage space, 512MB of DDR2 memory, WiFi, Bluetooth and external support for 3G.

The $100 USD Novo 7 or the first ICS based tablet gets sold out already

The $100 USD Novo 7 or the first Ice Cream Sandwich based tablet got sold out already.

 

 

Yesterday, MIPS Technologies and Ingenic Semiconductor announced their Novo7 Android 4.0 based tablet or the “World’s First Android Ice Cream Sandwich Tablet”. The most interesting of all is, that this low-cost 7-inch tablet, runs the latest Android OS and sales for just a bit less than $100 USD.

The Novo 7 is equipped with Ingenic’s JZ4770 SoC, which is an ultra low power high performance application processor with a powerful 2D graphic and video engine. The JZ4770 is powered by Ingenic 1GHz XBurst processor core and supports many peripherals, including WiFi, 3G, Bluetooth and TV module connecting.

Onkyo announces the launch of its 10.1-inch SlatePad TA2C-Android 3.2 business tablet

On November 16th (2011), Onkyo announced the launch of its 10.1-inch SlatePad TA2C – Android 3.2 business tablet, in Japan.

 

 

The Onkyo SlatePad TA2C is powered by a 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 250 dual core Cortex A9 processor, 1GB LP-DDR2 (600MHz) memory and 16GB of flash storage. The tablet has a 10.1-inch (1280×800) wide TFT LED backlit glossy LCD capacitive display with 10-finger multi-touch support and two cameras – 2MP front and 5MP rear (with autofocus).
